My wife and I continue to be happy with our home after almost five years. Much of the custom work they do themselves and were very accommodating. Our home has no major issues and continues to get compliments. They made the process a lot easier and less stressful than I thought it should have been. I would build with them again.

HORRIBLE QUALITY...!! Dishonest...!! R&W are NOT a customer minded home builder, don't be fooled, read on... UPDATE; since I originally posted this honest assessment, R&W has been scrambling to get customers to post positive reviews and when a reviewer states: "they built a spec home"... that's a CONTRACTED, CUSTOM home, NOT a SPEC home! If you do ANY decision making, planning of your home that they are building, that is NOT a SPEC home... Notice that positive reviews are from people that had there house built; a contracted custom home or are people who haven't been in there home all that long. The one reviewer states, "we had our spec home built in 2015 (incorrect, SPEC HOMES AREN'T CONTRACTED, CUSTOM HOMES) and we had never built before..." You don't know any different than do you? I'm sure not EVERY spec home is extremely cheap but why are ANY?! ...for the reasons I describe below... A true 'spec home', a home built without a buyer and to be sold near or after completion are BUILT SO INCREDIBLY CHEAP but passed off (deception) as quality that has been built inexpensively due to the high volume R&W produces. No, that's false, it's cheap because the material chosen is the absolute bottom of the barrel, from design, layout and construction, there is no consideration for the families they are selling to, only how much money will be made by using the cheapest materials available or skipping all the steps they can but somehow still passing inspection! So many things will fall apart in a very short period of time! MANY contractors have stated that better materials and considerate forethought should have been used and they still would have been able to keep the price point of the home and made money. ANYONE CONSIDERING A R&W 'HOME'... Do your homework! Talk to homeowners! ...that have lived in a R&W home for 5-7 years because that's when the cheapness starts to shine, and the numerous failures are far sooner than should be expected in ANY new home, this is happening in the spec homes from the result of cheap materials and/or craftsmanship. DO NOT JUDGE A BOOK BY ITS COVER, there are far better inexpensive home builders that will actually be considerate to the concept that someone will be living in the spec home; from the beginning, regarding layout, design, function and NOT using the absolute cheapest products available that will fail far quicker than other 'low end' products. Some sub contractors aren't even local and are no longer in business, leaving you the burden to correct issues that should never exist so quickly in a new home regardless of its cost. R&W will justify using some non local sub contractors because they do the job for less, which is true, but they also are doing the work with the absolute cheapest products available and local sub contractors don't want to be connected to this level of shoddy workmanship as they know it isn't good for business. Take notice a majority of positive reviews are either homeowners that recently purchased or pry have a contracted custom home, NOT a spec home and are NOT anyone that has actually LIVED in a R&W 'home' for any REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME, "we're so happy, we had never built before"; exactly! You have nothing to compare it to, trust me, I do, learn from my mistake... DON'T DO IT/AVOID/LOOK ELSEWHERE... WHEN YOUR NEW HOME IS 5-7 YEARS OLD AND STARTS FALLING APART IN PLACES IT SHOULDN'T AT SUCH A YOUNG AGE YOU POSITIVE REVIEWERS WILL REMEMBER THIS WARNING... PROSPECTIVE BUYERS... THINK, BE WISE... If they should get more positive postings it's only because they are asking them to, maybe even giving something in return; I wonder how positive reviews would be if it was mandatory to post a review after you've ACTUALLY LIVED in a SPEC home for 5-7 years??? Don't be fooled, talk to people who have LIVED in a R&W SPEC home for more than 5 years and learn how much they are needing to fix and repair, either far too soon or completely unnecessary.

We built a spec home with R&W in 2015 and are so happy with our decision to go with them. We had never built before and had a number of questions and concerns. They walked us through everything and made the process extremely easy & enjoyable. We will never use any builder other than R&W.

We purchased a spec home from R&W and couldn't be happier with the entire process from start to finish. Their staff was great to work with and answered all of our questions and concerns in a timely manner. We would definitely work with them again.

Built a home with R&W in 2012. I expected the building and selecting process to be much more stressful, but the R&W team made it a breeze. Still in this home today. No issues at all and very happy with quality received. If I build again, it will definitely be with R&W. Thanks again R&W!!
