AUTOMATE TICKETER JOBS
Not allowed to buy your tickets on MTA app when you jump on the train. The train was moving for barely 1 minute, and I asked LIRR ticketer if he could just wait another 30 seconds to get out of tunnel to get service and pull up my ticket.
I am a student that travels on the LIRR from Long Island to ronkonkoma every week, and was clearly flustered and in a rush with my things. No discretion or leniancy by the ticketer.

If that is the case, why not just automate ticketer jobs? It would reduce costs for consumers and allow for MTA to invest in other much needed services, like upgrades to train tracks and engines, as well as interior repair and cleaning.
With zero discretional powers given to ticketers, a robot could literally do their job more efficiently and cheaper.
If you want to legitimize union workers Who work on the train and refuse the introduction of efficient automated technologies, then give them some discretion authority to work with customers.

I've been here before. Ronkonkoma is a convenient stop and a springboard to Splish Splash water park and it's safe because there are no homeless people hanging out or bothering people for money thanks to the  MTA police and costumed superheroes with a no nonsense policy! If you are homeless or into drugs ( using or selling) stay away from here !!! You're likely to get arrested here by a 97% chance!!!

Great station. The people that go there can't drive or park. If a cop hung out there he/she would meet quota in 3 days. Between the reckless driving speeding and parking tickets
