It is the mission of the Roswell Police Department to provide equal protection of the law to all persons. To conduct policing operations within the framework of the U.S. Constitution and the Constitution of the State of New Mexico. To treat all persons with dignity and respect. One of the most, if not the most, useless police departments I have ever had to deal with. Reported theft and was totally ignored afterward. Phone calls...ignored! E-mails...ignored! I guess as long as you are a criminal in Roswell you have nothing to worry about, unless it is an easy case like minor shoplifting or perhaps speeding where police do not have to work very hard! Major crimes? No worries, and if you are the victim you may as well just forget about justice in this town!

I've only been in there to get a background check for employment. The officer that helped me was very informed about background check. I was in and out in 15 minutes.

My family and I have just become residents here in Roswell and the last few nights the night club Epic is so loud we can hear it a mile away like it was in our back yard. So I looked up Roswells noise ordinece, and they are breaking the ordinece, and called the non emergency line at midnight on a Friday night and asked if there was any ordinece for night clubs and he already knew which night club I was talking about and said that some one was dispatched and that was it. But it's an hour later and the music is still ridiculously loud. I can't believe that that is even aloud. So loud and neighborhoods right next to it. I don't know how the people living closer to it can stand that. We are a mile away and it's sounds like it's right behind us. So no one has shut it down? Or at least the outside concert. I miss where we are from the city took pride in keeping ordinances and making sure things like this were taken care of. But they didn't allow clubs by neighborhoods to be this loud any ways. Disappointed.

I just wanted to thank the dispatcher who answered the phone and the officer that went to check on my daughter and granddaughter. I was so worried living so far away and their kindness showed to this grandmother was much appreciated. Such fast service too God bless you both. Sincerely, Loretta Pipp

I had to get a background check and I got it pretty quickly and the officer was nice and helpful.
