we had an issue at our house with our pipes backing up into our downstairs shower.  We called Roto Rooter for the job at 9 pm Thursday night, made us wait until 9 am the next morning before coming. we were charged $300 to snake the pipes, done in 10 minutes and left. We had to call on Sunday night because the same issue was happening and basically told there was no warranty for the job because of a crack cap outside. NOT even 3 days and back up again. WHAT A RIP OFF! WILL NEVER EVER USE YOU AGAIN AND DO NOT RECOMMEND YOUR SERVICE TO ANYONE.  BEWARE OF THIS SERVICE THEY ARE RIP OFFS!!!!

Called on a Saturday...tech was here within a couple hours. He reviewed the issues and gave me an estimate. He located and snaked our main line (roots and debris) and had us back to normal in less than an hour. Rear job.

So we had an issue at our house with our pipes backing up. Water was exploding everywhere in our basement and we didn't know why! We called Roto Rooter for the job. Made an appointment, inspection was free and we were charged $300 for the job. He cleaned the sewer line that lead from the street to our house. Everything seemed fine for the time being and they granted us a 30 day guarantee on the work. We thought it was a done deal but a week later we run into the same problem once again. We call Roto to try to make another appointment and explained the problem over the phone, them knowing we already had prior work done with them. Somehow they already knew what the problem was and wanted to charge us $200 per hour. If it were that easy to analyze the problem then why wasn't it fixed during their first visit? Tried to fight for the 30 day guarantee and the phone receptionist hangs up on me. Had to call back and were forced to schedule an appointment with no other current options. THREE TIMES we had to schedule new appointments because for some reason Roto was not showing up for our scheduled appointments. Had a friend come to take a look at our problem and he suggested calling the city. Turns out our problem was a city problem. Apparently there was blockage from the street. City plumbing came and fixed the problem within 15min and said a good plumber should have been able to tell us what our problem was easy. Will be calling the city first next time, and will not be calling Roto at all. Thanks for the horrible experience Roto!
