i thought the service was overpriced - $350 to rod out a pipe and then $49.95 for a bottle of drain opener, plus did not get $30 coupon from phone book.  was given estimate of $1500 to do repair of leaking pipe, which my boyfried was able to fix for the cost of special putty which sealed the leak completely (about $40).  no leaks since.

I just had a great experience with Roto-Rooter. My internet was spotty so I had to google Roto Rooter Chicago and the 800 number brought me to the right place without having to call a second time. I wasn't sure if I needed a plumber or a specialist, but this was the right decision. The person who helped me was great and informed and gave just enough info without annoying me (I'm an architect, so I have some background). He came later at night stayed until it was finished, cleaned up his work and was very curteous. The only disappointing part of it was at the very end he got called for a new call and the dispatcher was rude to him, and I could tell he was embarassed as he stepped out to finish the call. I would definitely recommend this company.
