We have been wanting to try this restaurant since it opened and today the opportunity presented itself for lunch. We arrived about 1215 pm and were really expecting a crowd, however that wasn't the case. Only a few tables were occupied and it is probable they were working folks out for lunch. There was one waitress, Brittany. She was polite and we were told to sit where ever we wanted. We chose to sit away from the bar area where all the others were seated. I ordered a bowl of gumbo and salad, hubby ordered the catfish dinner and salad, both with drinks. All I can say is the salad bar that we had is the best thing in the place . Gumbo is basically bland when it comes to flavor, and if you like okra and dark meat chicken, then you are in for a treat because that is what they have in their gumbo. Okra, chicken and roux. Oh and a scoop of rice. Didn't really taste Cajun at all. No peppers, no onions, no garlic, no shrimp no sausage. So next time I will make gumbo at home!! Hubby's catfish dinner was two pieces of fish with a lot of breading, a small handful of sweet potato fries and two hush puppies. Cost for lunch $25. So disappointed. Been there. Done that.

Great Bread Pudding and Beignets, but the gumbo was bland. We never saw a manager the entire time. No one introduced their self. We had to wait for a table to be cleaned off even though they were practically empty. After we got seated the tables all around us were still dirty. The host was busy playing on his cell phone and watching football throughout the meal. Last, but not least, when we paid our check our waitress took our debit card, but the bartender returned it... That's a chain of custody issue that most all restaurants have policies against due to the obvious liability if one of their staff copied it. Overall, the food was not bad, but the place looks like it is very poorly managed and the staff poorly trained.

Needs some tweaking to make it good. Needs more menu options. Everything needs to be more explanatory & clear. Don't assume everyone has already eaten at a new place. Wait staff could be more helpful, and not stuffy.

My family and I went to Roux's for lunch today. I was a little hesitant because of the mixed reviews, but I wanted to give them a chance to prove the negative reviews wrong. I am sad to say they lived up to every negative review they have received. We were greeted nicely as we entered the restaurant, but it was all downhill after that. They seated us at our table and gave us menus, but that was the last time a single person acknowledged we were in the building. We sat there for 15 minutes while at least 5 very stone faced servers walked by us without a single word. They brought out food and cleared tables all around us, but never looked in our direction. We walked out the door without even being asked if we wanted a drink. I honestly don't even know if they noticed we left without ordering. I was excited to have a Cajun restaurant in Conway, but the vibes in this place are horrible. The reviews you read about this restaurants customer service are real. I will not be returning.

Had catfish and fries for lunch. Food and service were good. We were seated at a table by a really gross fish tank though. Nothing in it but a low water level and foggy glass walls. Really rather detracts from the overall experience.
