Disaster every time we've been in here. Went to have lunch here the other day for the SOLE reason we had a gift certificate, and we were told they were not serving lunch because "They were slow because of the foot of snow". This is Buffalo N.Y. and if you stop serving meals because of some snow you'll be out of business faster than i anticipate. They were doing pizzas, and after waiting 20 minutes and realizing the guy behind the pizza counter didn't start our pizzas we told him and not to our surprise he had no idea there was a pending order. The food is good, and the atmosphere is nice, however this place is a joke and my guess is they won't survive! Good luck!

Honestly love the decor walking in, it really transported me into a world of antiques as we were sat on the top with the creaky floors and classic dining attractions. It was near Christmastime so it was especially adorned in garland, Christmas trees and lots of tinsel and ornaments. I also enjoyed overlooking their little balcony which gives you a view of the front so it has a nice, warm feel once inside. On the main floor, you're met with a small pizza bar where you can also sit and enjoy their food, and then another room full of fine dining experience but I didn't enter that area so I'm not too sure what it looks like there. To the left is where the bakery with coffee is, so it has some interesting aspects to this place. For the food, we ordered a pizza with the egg on it, and a burger with fries. The burger with fries was okay to me as nothing really stood out that grabbed my attention wanting more. The pizza was also just okay, and didn't mind the egg on top but found the toppings to slide off so it didn't exactly make the pizza-eating experience THAT enjoyable. Once downstairs, we got some cookies, and a coffee before we left. For the most part, I enjoyed the decor. The food I probably would suggest to implement a better menu or some pizza toppings that don't automatically slide once you pick them up. The other things I enjoyed about this place were the chocolate chip cookies - SOOO GOOD and the coffee.

Was here for dinner. The food was very good. Service couldn't have been better. The place is gorgeous inside. Interesting setup makes it like three places in one. Limited menu but everything sounded delicious.

Wonderful place to hang out featuring lots of cool cloisters with a different atmosphere in each spot. Fantastic for lunch or a quick bite, their dinner menu while of good quality, unfortunately leaves a lot to be desired in terms of variety. Favorite things: roasted squash soup (with a cappuccino frothed top!), Rowhouse burger, a Squirrel Named Peat.

When my friend and I walked through the door, there was a man at the hostess booth who was on his phone and did not even acknowledge us. This was before dinner time so we figured out that we weren't actually supposed to wait to be seated so we walked up to the cafe where we were greeted by another employee on their phone who again made eye contact but completely ignored us. This was our first time here so we had no idea what we were supposed to do. Rowhouse's saving grace was the wonderful barista who finally noticed us and was pretty wonderful. The baked goods were phenomenal and the espresso was some of the best I've had in the city. We tried some cold pressed juice as well that was pretty good. But it really wasn't enough to make up for the completely despondent staff. After sitting down for about 30 minutes we realized that the entire place was all staff members or their associates. There were numerous people walking around with clip boards, two people sitting by the cafe on their laptops, and kitchen staff who actually looked like they were working. I can't justify giving an overstaffed restaurant more than two stars when the service was this terrible. But the building is one of a kind and definitely worth checking out. It feels like a hidden architectural gem in the city of buffalo. My friend and I decided we may want to come back to check out the bar experience but cannot imagine sitting down for dinner.
