On 11/01/22, my wife and I visited this location on Tuesday. A young lady by the name of Yaneth Reyes was taking our order. As she completed our order she gave our receipt and we stepped aside to wait for our meal. Another individual was attended and Ms. Reyes to reassure her if he wanted to go or dine in. In a very disrespectful manner responded, "you asked to-go or dine and I said to-go. Ms. Reyes was professional in keeping her composure and continued with her job. Another co worker kept her composure as well. Well done ladies, you have exceeded all expectations. Great locations for great service. Parking: Very clean.
Staff is always friendly, and I think they have one of the convenient breakfast options. Check it out!Food: 5/5
My family recently moved to Gaithersburg, so I thought I'd give this location a first try. Before though, we lived closer to a different location so I always went there. So I came in toward the end of the day, it was pretty quiet. No customers in line. The staff were pretty lax, and just trying to clean up for the end of the night. They were kind of quiet, but friendly-ish obviously tired, I understand. I ordered 2 sandwiches, a large fry, and a drink. I'll start with the large fry: Room temperature, no salt, dry, overcooked, obviously sitting out for a while since there was no traffic. A few were so crunchy that they kind of remind you of those French's shoe string fries: super crunchy all the way through. It's like they got tossed back in to a toaster oven, twice. Those fries are like $4, and I received it basically 3/4 of the way full. See picture attached. I added whatever bottom bag fries were in there, so that's everything. Also, a word of advice. When you're waiting on 2 sandwiches, don't go grab the french fry, and then go stand around at the sandwich window for 4 minutes waiting for the sanwiches while the fries sit in the bag getting cold. Moving on to the spicy chicken sandwich: I looked at it, and it actually looked pretty tasty, well breaded. I thought it made up for the french fries. I took a bite into it, and pretty much every bite I took out of it had stringy bits that I had to keep separating. Possibly thawed and refrozen? Or not cooked properly? Who knows. So the sandwich was a bust. Moving on to the double 1/4 with cheese burger: I thought it was pretty hard to mess that up, but I was wrong. Not really any seasoning I think they just toss salt on, I've been to a different location and they usually have a tiny bit more taste. The entire burger also had a sort of icky metallic aftertaste. To be honest, I wasn't sure if it was a bloody taste from the meat, or a metallic taste. The burger looked thoroughly cooked through. My family member suggested that maybe the grill wasn't clean so it was probably metallic. Other things: they only had a single fixing cup left, and usually I've gotten 3 during the covid era because they usually only put a single tomato slice in each. I'm used to getting the fixings myself. This particular issue was the least of the issues of course. I wasn't thrilled, but I understood it was the end of the day, and I know they probably have someone make them early in the morning before refrigerating them. So this trip was a total bust. Not a great first time to this location. I keep going back and forth on whether I should give them the benefit of the doubt and just come back in the daytime. From my experience the last few hours of the night are when the quality tends to dwindle or becomes inconsistent at all locations. But really, it gets pretty tiring spending $16 and every time having to take a gamble on the quality of my "High Quality Fast Food" as management used to put it. I asked them in the past why they never made dollar burgers like other competitors, and that was the response they gave me. "We only make high quality fast food."
Location is a little dated. Still has the old soda machine. Fixens bar was well stocked. Fries were old and didn't enjoy my chicken sandwich. The fried chicken was well received by the family. Staff is friendly and keep the place up.
Good serving of food. Very accommodating staff. I just passed by this restaurant after showing a client a property nearby.
We've been eating here for years and haven't had any issues, just great service and delicious food. Their Spicy Texas Pete Chicken Sandwich is very delicious and super underrated compared to other places. Try it out!
My family and I recently moved to Gaithersburg and I have never tried Roy Roger's chicken before until recently and the flavor is bland; no original hearbs and spices tastes basic, and the biscuts were dry and doughy. Every chicken restaurant is authentic for it's special seasons, spices, and sauces. Even their biscuts taste different, and the sauce was nasty. The only thing I liked about the 8pc chicken box meal was the baked beans were delicious and seasoned just right without the heavily saturated sweeteners and preservatives. Also, the meat from the chicken was tender, and juicy. I will never eat at any Roy Roger's restaurant in the future. I was very disappointed and originally had my heart set on a burger from Wendy's.
Great breakfast. The crescent was buttery but just the right amount. Ham, egg, and cheese crescent was better than the bacon one. The fries are light and not greasey like a McDonald's hashbrown. The coffee is decent. I was offered a spicy sauce, which I believe is called Texas Pete something, and it tasted good on the crescent. The associate working was nice and friendly. I'd recommend this for a quick breakfast option.
Love this place great burgers and chicken! Very friendly customer service and fast.Food: 5/5
Been here a few times. The last time the coating on the chicken was hard as a rock and it was awful. Not going back. Darn it, we loved Roys. - these french fries cost $4 as a large side?!? Really?!?
