Was visiting from L.A., tried this fast-food restaurant based on the reviews. It was all so very, very good!!! I had the beef tacos, rice, and beans. Companion had the beef enchiladas. This is now a must-stop whenever I visit. The tacos are a little pricey at $4.50, but they are very large and an excellent value. I'm a big eater, but next time I may just get one taco instead of two, which is my usual order elsewhere. Bottom line: you won't go away hungry after cleaning your plate (a real plate, not paper) of the delicious large portions. Just wish we had a place like this in L.A.!

I ordered a burrito and taco. The burrito had a terrible non salted flat flavor and the tortilla had a terrible cheap tar taste. Was not Mexican at all. The beef is cooked on an iron flat stove instead over the flame.I also ordered a chorrizo taco that was okay the meat had a decent cut wasn't super small and greasy would be better if the corn tortilla was actually cooked. Can you imagine a taco and a burrito and a drink cost $17 that's just crazy Chipotle even puts this place to shame man what a waste of my money. All because of the location. I recommend not eating here.

I don't usually review places but I had to review this one. If I could give it zero stars I would. The service was horrible, the cashier is unprofessional, she's easily distracted and takes down orders wrong. As a Mexican I can say my pastor burrito was the worst I've ever had, the meat was dry, burnt and stale. I can't believe they would serve the leftover remnants. I'm not sure where they get these high reviews from because my roommate has also been there on a separate occasion and he too had a bad experience and nothing good to stay about the food. Suffice it to say I'm never going back.

Great food! Savory, delicious, home-style, and cooked with love. You can really tell Ruby's takes pride in their restaurant. A Santa Barbra favorite and I will surely be back here again. Wet Fajitas Borrito is what I got and I highly recommend if your fan of wet burritos.

Anyone truly from SB knows Rudy's! The one on Montecito St is my FAV! Do yourself a solid and order the TACOs, 1 chix and 1 beef!
