They are always friendly and helpful. Dogfood seems to beat the big box stores on price and have knowledgeable employee's to help you. What's not to love?  

I have been trading with them for a couple of years and now go to the monthly pet vet trailer visit if in need of Veteran services.

Russell feed in cleburne is god awfull. Went in to buy 3 round bales for horses after calling to make sure they had them. When I get there I am told they only have 1 but truck is on its way. I asked how long, and who I will assume is the person in charge of the feed warehouse says about 1 1/2 hours. I said I will wait. He says why we have one. I said I need three and don't want to have to come back. His response,  but you have time to wait. Then proceeds to tell me how it isn't old hay. Really I guarantee it is last year's,  but tell him that's not the issue I can wait for the truck. He got an attitude about me wanting to wait . I finally said with that attitude I will buy it somewhere else. He then proceeded to argue with me all the way to my truck. I was leaving but stopped to help someone with a flat tire. While I was helping the store manager came to me and gracious said he would sell me the round bale they had. I declined. I feel so special that he would allow me the chance to purchase the round bale. Piss poor customer service , don't go there. Russell feed in cleburne.

I only used the mobile vet clinic at this Benbrook location. But if they're anyting like the Sansom Park location, they have great staff and they are great and money-saving when it comes to your pets. The Sansom Park location has superb customer service and I'm guessing the Benbrook location does as well.

This is the most knowledgeable and helpful Russell Feed I've been too! It's the only one I'll go to from now on!

I like their selection and their friendly staff. My only beef is their policy with women. It's the reason I go to Hollywood Feed instead. I'm 5'10", and 180 LBs (not a small person). And a woman. At Hollywood Feed, they'll offer to carry my fifteen pound bag of dog food to my car, and I can politely decline and it's no problem. At Russell Feed, they INSIST on carrying it to my car, to the point where declining is almost a stand-off. I know that the only reason for this is "chivalry", and the fact that I'm a woman. While I understand that they're just trying to provide customer service, I have trouble with the fact that I can't just smile and say "no thanks - I got it". It's frustrating, to the point where I will may the extra $5 elsewhere, just to avoid the awkwardness. So they lose a star and my money. I'm sure they'll do fine without both.
