The Festival of Lights was fun for the little kids! Fun to sing along or try to quote the stories that go along with the lights. Hard to not feel rushed with cars behind. It totally ruins the use and scenery of the park for months. I used to enjoy the pristine view with trees in frost and untouched snow right in the heart of the city. It's an eyesore except the one night we go to see the lights.

My wife and I went for the festival of lights at Christmas time and it was great. The price was reasonable and it came with a sleigh (wagon) ride. Santa was there and they had refreshments to purchase I'd say it was pretty well done.

Great park. Frisbee golf course. Nice river view. Large enough to find a quiet place often.

Great place for getting outdoors in Idaho Falls. Plenty of public-use covered pavilions that are always open, but you can also reserve one for a party or event. Multiple playgrounds and swing sets throughout, multiple clean public restrooms, a paved trail around park, and plenty of free parking. Highly suggest as one of best places in town to actually access and enjoy the Snake River from the bank--comfortable rock areas for lounging and also sandy shorelines. If you have a pup, Id suggest the latter!! No dog wash stations, though. Locals come here for frisbee golf, running, taking a stroll, picnics, family and friend gatherings, sunbathing, etc. And it's never too busy--so also a great place if you like quieter outdoor scapes within the city limits. Tons of trees for shade as well.

Summer movies in the park is Absolutely the best family time! Totally love this!
