These abusers transported an adult giraffe to a zoo in an enclosure that wasn’t tall enough, the animal sustained neck and spinal-cord damage and had to be euthanized. Another giraffe transported to a zoo by Johnson died two weeks later from an injury that had apparently occurred during unloading.
