This company's machines are DANGEROUS. I was employed as an engineer for Safety Hoist and during my short time there I overheard numerous phone calls from customers reporting safety issues with the machines. Common complaints were of component failures which would cause the carriage (loaded with up to 400 lbs of materials) to free-fall towards the operator standing directly below. The machines may appear to work well at first, but can quickly fail without notice. I tried to get the company ownership and management to address these serious and potentially fatal safety issues but they had no interest in doing so because making essential safety improvements might cut into profits. Don't be fooled by the company's false claims that the machines are OSHA approved or OSHA compliant. The company wants you to believe that you can avoid OHSA fines by using their machines, but because the machines are NOT OSHA compliant, users may still be cited. I informed the company ownership that the machines in fact were NOT OSHA compliant and were actually unsafe to use. To this day the company continues to make false claims that the machines are safe and OSHA approved. The only other positive reviews here for this company are from the Owner's wife (Josephine Pasquarello) and the Owner's commercial real-estate partner (Jill Gizzio), neither of which have ever used the machines. If you care about the safety of your employees, coworkers, friends, or loved ones, do not allow them to use this company's machines. There are several other manufactures that build much better quality and safer machines of this type. Call the FTC and OSHA to report this company's false advertising and dangerous machines. Stay safe.

Great company, owner is very involved and attentive. Safety Hoist is well made and much welcomed equipment for businessess that put their employees safety first.

Best buy we ever made. The hoist is what they say. It is SAFE, Simple and AFFORDABLE. Love it. Don't know how we got along without it.
