All-in-all I actually really like this store the only reason that I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 as I do feel like they have started raising prices on certain items to the point where it's very noticeable for whatever reason... Also, I feel like when the lines get long they don't open more checkout lines for some reason and every single time that I've ever witness this happening I've also noticed that there's other employees not really doing anything so I feel like they should be able to open an extra one if they need to. However I would definitely like to point out that after moving three times in the past 10 years I really do feel what the Oregon City Safeway is the better one thus far: )

I am posting this review and giving a Safeway five stars for one reason only.. This location has an incredible wine steward. Debra really knows wine.. (and beer..) Was very impressed in selection and her insights to PNW, west coast and international wines! Thank you Debra!

What is it with Safeway's, all over the place, offering the slowest, and worst, customer service? 

This store is no exception. Consistently long wait times for check-out, both assisted or self. Self check-out is a joke, because even that requires an attendant to come over because their machines can't figure out reusable bags, weights of items, and don't bother trying to start a second bag. 

This store is consistently packed to the hilt, and understaffed.

This store makes it easy to find the things I need. They sometimes have good deals. I like that they have the u scan so I can go quickly when I just need one item.

Don't let the three stars scare you, this is a very nice Safeway.  Its a grocery store with pharmacy, bakery, deli, butcher, and florist, as you'd expect.  So I'll be rating each bit separately.

Pharmacy-  Just... don't bother.  The customer service at this pharmacy has never been good.  Picking up routine medications was stressful.

Bakery-  Not bad at all.  They've got a variety of goods, and some very nice treats.  Just be aware they need time for large orders.

Deli-  The deli is phenomenal.  The customer service and products are fantastic, and there's often good sales on the nicer deli meat.  It's worth the upgrade, trust me.  The premade items are also quite nice and the selection has only grown over the years.

Butcher-  They don't always have what I want, mostly at the seafood counter, but they're always very helpful.  They also have nice meat, I've never gotten a bad cut from them.

Florist-  Surprisingly good!  I dislike cut flowers but they actually carry a nice stock of seasonal flowers in pots and very nice orchids.  If you need a gift ASAP for the plant lover in your life, the Safeway florist may be your best bet.

Produce-  Another category I have mixed feelings about.  Produce, especially fruit, tends to be a bit on the expensive side, and I rarely see quality that justifies it.  I do really like their precut items, but I've had two 'berry bowls' with mold in them now so I can't help but regard them with some suspicion.

Beyond that the store does get extremely busy in the late afternoon but its usually handled well and wait times for lines aren't so bad.  The self check-outs help but can be frustrating at times, but is usually my preferred way to go.  The checkers are always nice though, quick to offer a friendly word without slowing down the line.
