This Safeway is right next to Santa Clara university and therefore you have loads of students on here doing grocery. There's nothing wrong with that except the fact that the staff is never able to open more than 2 cashiers. Therefore the line is always super long and blocks the isles in the store. It's a issue because this Safeway location is already tiny. Despite to that, they serve fresh vegetables and fruits and have almost anything else you could ask for. There's also a Starbucks inside.

It's small limited variety but I live being able to get in and out quickly. Service is much better than some of the others. I drive out og my way to shop there

Have never been one to rave about a Safetway however, this store is v. good! Spacious, clean, good produce! Nice check out staff.

The wine selection here is pretty thin. I think it caters mostly to the college crowd. The staff is always friendly.

Smaller than your usual Safeway, but a huge liquor department and Starbucks. Can you tell there's a University across the street? Customer service counter is not helpful, if you forget to enter your card number and want the discounts/ gas points be prepared to call 800 number 'cause they didn't feel like fixing it or doing a return/rebuy on the spot. At least the baristas were friendly.
