Our Story…
Sal was an original, one of a kind! Sal grew up in a small town in Sicily, Italy where he spent years helping his mother in the kitchen learning the importance of freshness, quality, and consistency. Sal came to Brooklyn, N.Y. in the 1960s and with him came his passion, tradition, and love for food. He was a true innovator, entrepreneur, and an artist, especially in making his authentic N.Y Style Pizza, which he brought with him to Middle Tennessee, so beginning the Story of Sal’s Family Pizza!
Today, restaurateurs Bob Akhundjanov is carrying on the legacy and growing Sal’s Family Pizza throughout Middle Tennessee. Bob and Roma worked many years in the restaurant and hotel industry before they finally teamed up with Sal and together they shared great success. Bob and Roma are proud to carry on the tradition of fresh dough made daily, uncompromising quality in every ingredient, and homemade sauces.
