If I could give 0 stars, I would. But Google forces me to give one. I signed my son up for soccer at the beginning of registrations this Spring. We waited and waited to find out who his coach would be. Finally, a week or two before season was scheduled to start, we got an email that there were not enough coaches. Unfortunately, I travel for work frequently and my husband is a full-time student, so neither of us had the time to commit to coaching. I waited and waited, only to find out a week into the schedule that the coach they had lined up fell through. I hadn't heard anything, so I replied to the email I had gotten to find out the status a week before games were supposed to start, only for my email to bounce back. There was NO contact information available. I finally got a chance to call the main office and was told they had way more students register than they anticipated so they didn't have enough coaches. I asked, "Why didn't you set a registration limit?" they said, "we want to be fair and let everyone have a chance to play." So, I replied, "How is it fair that we registered at the beginning of registration and yet my son STILL doesn't have a team more than 2 weeks into the season?" They allowed me to talk to Korina, the executive director, who said first of all that I was justified in my frustration and that she was upset the emails sent to me had no contact information. I told her I wanted to pull my son's registration because he starts camp right after school is out, so we can't do the 2 week extension of games. I told her I wouldn't be taking him to any practices or games IF we ever got a coach, and I wanted a full-refund. She asked for me to forward her the emails I had gotten (which I immediately did while we were on the phone) and she said she would request the refund be issued. I waited a couple of weeks and called back because we hadn't seen the refund come through. They said the processing time was up to 2 months because they had so many refunds to issue. I said, "a good sign there's a problem is that you have to issue so many refunds." I waited a few more weeks and called back. I was told they had only issued a partial $20 refund due to the two week delay. I said that was not satisfactory, my son hasn't stepped foot on the field and I was promised a full refund by Korina. The receptionist said she would research with the sports organizer and call back. She called back later that day and said she hadn't gotten through to him but she would call me back when she did. I never heard back from her. I called back today (a couple of weeks later) and talked to the same receptionist as before. She told me there was no indication I had asked for or been promised a full refund, that everyone was gone for the weekend, and that she would call me back. I expressed multiple times that I wasn't holding my breath, that I was seriously disappointed in their organization's mismanagement, lack of service, and poor planning/handling of the situation. We will see if I get the call back I was promised, but I seriously doubt I will.

These guys will go the extra mile to make sure your kids will have a good time. My girls loved the camps/classes. Plus, when they couldn't make the last day of the theater camp, they offered to video the performance and send it to us. Super awesome, everyone.

This non profit that does countless wonderful things for this community's schools and students has the finest gift shop in the Willamette Valley. Do yourself a favor and shop here plus all the proceeds benefit the kids of Salem. As an added secret bonus, if you spend over $100, the manager will recite lines from the Ghostbusters movie which will be the most hilarious part of your day.
