We stumbled on a new restaurant today in Cedar Park off Cypress Creek. They have awesome food. We ordered Fettuccine Alfredo which was creamy and the best I had since I moved here from New Jersey. Their Cesar Salad was spot on. The Veal was tender and perfect. The Chicken Gnocchi Soup was excellent. My wife had Chicken Parmigiana and it was tender and juicy. We were quite impressed! Definitely would recommend it.
We never went here because we thought it looked like more of a fast food Italian restaurant from the outside, we were totally wrong! I’m so glad we decided to give it a try. You get free fresh warm garlic bread with butter and a Cesar salad with each meal. I ordered the shrimp scampi and this is the first place where I could actually taste the lemon, very good! My husband orders lasagna at every Italian restaurant we go to and he said it was really good as well. A plus was there are actual Italians working there, very friendly staff and attentive. UPDATE: We went back tonight 10-10-22 to try the pizza and we ordered the meat lovers and salerno, both were the 12”. Both were pretty good but the Salerno named pizza was definitely the winner! Photos of each attached, Salerno on the left and meat lovers on the right. We did wish there was just a tad more sauce on each.
As soon as we got there, we were served hot garlic knots. For appetizers, we had fried calamari and a caprese salad. Our main courses included generous portions of lobster raviolis, the chef special, Alfredo chicken, chicken parmigiana, and a cheese pizza. We were very impressed with how good everything tasted. Our waitress was very attentive. The prices were pretty reasonable too. This place is legit! We also saw them hand tossing the pizzas! It’s the best Italian food I’ve had in this area, and we will definitely be going back!
Out doing a Sunday afternoon bike ride with my wife and decided to try Salerno's out. Glad we did! My wife and I were seated promptly and then received complementary garlic knots. The food came out pretty quick and was nice and hot. I ordered the Four Cheese Quatro Formaggi and my wife ordered the Shrimp Diavolo. The pizza was thin, no grease and full of flavor - best pizza I've had since living in Austin. My wife's pasta was a perfect portion, sauce was flavorful and loved the tomatoes. We'll be back to try the very large menu in the next few days. Definitely give Salerno a chance!
I ordered Pizza for takeout here. The inside looked cosy and nice with someone singing Frank Sinatra live. The staff was friendly. The pizza was awesome - right size crust chewy and nice and the toppings were fresh.
Dinner was a mixed bag but pretty good overall. The calamari was excellent, and the mozzarella sticks were great. Our entrees were where things started to break down a little. The two pasta dishes chicken piccata and tagliatelle bolognese were good but the third order pizza came out significantly later. The pizza was undercooked and overly salty, so I really can’t recommend it. The other dishes were well received by our party. So: 4 stars not 5, but a generally good meal nonetheless. The ambiance would be a lot nicer if they added some sound panels — all the hard concrete in there makes it exceptionally noisy and makes conversation difficult.
Best pizza I have had in TX. Amazing ingredients, brilliant atmosphere and the most courteous and attentive staff I've seen. Great specials and it's always very clean. Can't recommend it enough.
First timers, Sunday about 6pm....very warm and cozy spot for dinner. There was a wonderful live singer, nice menu choices and friendly service. I recommend giving them a try sometime soon.
good Italian food good pizzas good starters…everything is fine but I don't think I will go to this place anymore…I didn't like the waiter and I think the cook's assistant treated the cleaner…in this life you have to be humble, humane and good personDine in: Yes
The waiter didn’t speak English. That itself wasn’t the biggest issue as we want to support immigrants too, but they didn’t have any other staff to help us with questions so that was upsetting. Salad had old lettuces with too much dressing. Pasta had nothing but noodle and sauce and quite bland. The parsley sprinkles around the edge of the place was sad. The meat eater pizza had a regular amount of meat aka not enough and quite greasy. I thought I was back in high school.
