Due to recent events and the concerns facing our world today, we have had several unfortunate inquiries and comments posted to our various social media sites, to which we have responded privately. Rather than continue to respond individually, we now feel it would be in everyone’s best interest to post a general statement that will, hopefully, put to rest people’s concerns about our name and what we represent.

First of all, we would like to thank our current and future clients for being able to see past this tragedy.

We were in existence long before these terrorist animals became known. When looking up the meaning of our name ISIS, you find the meaning is “A complex ancient Egyptian goddess, worshiped as the ideal mother - ‘Queen of the Throne’. This seemed to be an appropriate name as our goal is a full service hair salon providing our clients with the most up-to-date service and styles.

The term I.S.I.S is an abbreviation for Islamic State of Iraq and Al Sham. It is a hate-filled militant radical Islamic Sunni faction that murders innocent people and wants to take over. It is also called ISIL, which means Islamic State of Iraq and Levant. Levant is all of the land given to the Israelites by God upon their exodus from the 40 years in the desert. The radicals want all of the land, even the land given by God himself.
