Salt & Olive offers a dining experience that, while satisfactory, doesn't particularly stand out in a crowded culinary scene. The service at the restaurant is very good—prompt and courteous, making the dining experience pleasant. However, the menu feels quite common, lacking unique dishes that might entice a diner to return frequently. They also offer a range of drinks and cocktails, which could be a draw for those looking to enjoy a beverage out, though these too align with the more standard offerings one might expect at any typical dining establishment. The quality and taste of the food were okay, but again, nothing distinguished the dishes from what you might find elsewhere. Constructively, I would suggest that Salt & Olive could benefit from introducing some signature dishes or unique culinary twists that could define a more distinctive dining narrative. Such additions might create a more memorable experience that encourages repeat visits. Overall, it's a competent venue, but with some creative adjustments, it could truly shine.
Server “Teddy Bear” and staff are always very friendly and responsive. Food quality is excellent. I love the small portion starter of warmed pita bread slices with hummus. Outside dining tables very comfortable and protected. Great lunch spot walkable from office in Glendale.Food: 5/5
Ate here with my girlfriend on a week night, not busy and seated right away. I had the chicken kebab plate and my girl got the salmon, both were delicious! We also shared the yogurt/pita plate, very generous portions. Over all, we will be back. Good food and a nice little dinner spot.Food: 5/5
Nice staff, decent food though the koobideh could use some improvement, and fairly good ambiance. Other than that it’s a fairly unremarkable restaurant, but it does make for a solid lunch stop if you’re in the area. Prices are good for the portion and quality you’re getting. I think the lentil soup was my favorite. The staff was very kind and gave us a baklava because they had inadvertently gotten my order wrong. Vegetarian options: I saw a good amount of vegetarian options on the menu
Best mediterranean restaurant in LA. Yes, is that good. The chicken kebab was SO soft! The onion and grilled tomato my mixed perfect! Everything perfectly cooked and the appetizer combo was delightful, different concept of pita bread and hummus but i loved them both! This place is a 10/10 and we will be back very soon !!!Food: 5/5
My wife and I went to try this location. It is Hispanics mother's Day and we arrived around 11 AM. We waited for a bit but were quickly greeted and seated by Teodosia a welcoming positive high energy woman! She speaks español! She explained some dishes and the items we went with were not disappointing. My wife went with boneless chicken kebab awesome portions. It was joined with a house salad, basmati rice, and a rose lemonade. I enjoyed the combo kebob. I had brown rice, Greek salad, and a lavender lemonade. We enjoyed a small hummus and garlic pita to start. Warm to the touch and the condiments level was balanced. Many pictures of the dishes are on point! I will be bringing my kids here to eat as well in the near future! Thank you and God bless!
Our waiter was so energetic and kind. She explained the menu and gave us great suggestions. The classic hummus and pita bread were SO good. The portion sizes of the plates are huge and great for leftovers. Everything was so delicious and the atmosphere of the restaurant was warm and the decor is simple, yet elevated. Would definitely recommend and will 100% be back. Parking: They validate and there is a garage right behind the restaurant. We actually used street parking though, as there was a spot right out front
Our first time here and the chicken was amazing and I had one of the best lavender latter. The best part of this is Teddy Bear she gave us recommendations for our family and she was always attentive. You are amazing Teddy Bear!Food: 5/5
They were so accommodating and turned down the fans when I was moving my seat because it was drying out my contacts. I didn’t even know that was an option and appreciated the thoughtfulness! The whole restaurant is decorated so beautifully and it was a nice ambiance. Their prices are so great $11-$13 and the portions are big! Parking is a bit rough there is some parking for 2 hours on the street if you can find some, but you also need coins for the meter. There is a 90 minutes Free garage at "400 -450 NW" on Milford Street. We tried the chicken bowl such a great portion with a delicious avocado salad and salmon plate. Their hummus is sooo good it’s more creamy and has more of a garlic flavor to it. The garlic potatoes were amazing too! I would definitely come back, great service and great food and prices!
The beef Kebab my first time seasoning was perfect so was the salad and the dessert the waitress and manager laughed and played with me. Made me feel like family . I was sitting alone.. very enjoyable experience while it's raining out Parking: Had to drive around the back of the block to park
