It was a nice stop off as we passed through but I am not sure it was one of the most pristine places. Beautiful views and definitely a true feel for the Washington coast. Camping looked great. If you are doing a day trip then look for more pristine beaches.

LOVE this beach. It's one of or favorite places on the peninsula. Spectacular sunset views and fun, kid- friendly tide pools to explore.

Beautiful Pacific Northwest Beach. Amazing views. Kids love it. Good parking availability most times, but it does get full on the weekends if the weather is nice.

I camped at Salt Creek Campground just bellow the recreation area for three days on my senior class retreat.  So wonderful.  There are really cool WWII bunkers in the hills above, and beautiful cliffs that lead down to the ocean.  The camp sights have views of the straight of Juan de Fuca, and there are RV parking spots that can be used as well.  This is one of the top rated RV/car camping spots in the state.  Highly Recommended.

Lovely park, and so much history and fascinating remains. The old bunkers are amazing in how big they are, how fast they were built, and how fast they were deemed useless thanks to modern missiles.  It is also a stern reminder that our freedom and safety in the USA is not a given. The Straight Views are fantastic and the coves are lovely for walks. Keep the tides in mind.
