We're just a stone's throw from many famous attractions!
The Olympic Peninsula and Olympic National Park region is one of the most spectacular destinations in Washington, and the OPPA (Olympic Peninsula Port Angeles) KOA is the perfect vantage point from which to enjoy it. Explore forests, glaciers, hot springs, lakes, waterfalls and the Olympic Mountain Range-whose majestic peaks are visible from our campground.
The quaint town of Sequim offers a multitude of things to see and do. Visit one of the many family owned farms that have put this town on the map as the Lavender Capital of North America. Wander downtown and drop by one of the many small boutiques, or stop by the Rainshadow Coffee House for a cup of coffee from beans they custom roast daily. For the more adventuresome, the nearby Olympic Game Farm offers you a chance to get up close and personal with a wide variety of exotic animals from the comfort of your car.
Port Angeles is an old historic town with many antique shops, coffee houses and restaurants to pique your interest. Explore the Marine Life Center, where you can touch and interact with many of the sea creatures that are native to this area. Or maybe you dare to travel west from Port Angeles and venture into vampire territory of Forks, the setting for the Twilight Saga Novels by Stephanie Meyers.
Just a quick ferry ride from Port Angeles, across the straights of Juan de Fuca, leads you to Canada and the beautiful city of Victoria, the capital of British Columbia. Visit Butchart Gardens, one of the top attractions in Victoria, or take a tour bus from the ferry dock and see the many historical sites and buildings in the city. Whatever your fancy, Victoria is sure to please!
Lest we forget those Washington residents that are just looking to get away from the city for a few days and decompress, OPPA KOA is a destination unto itself; a one-tank weekend that is sure to please with loads of fun-filled activities during our peak season. Daily activities, such as evening movies, hay rides, tie dye, monster bikes, and a variety of outdoor recreation options are sure to entertain the kids, while you relax outside your rig and unwind.
So come on over and give us the opportunity to show you some of our good old fashioned OPPA hospitality! We are sure that once you experience all we and the Olympic Peninsula have to offer you will understand why so many people call this area a little slice of paradise!
