Today I had the unfortunate experience to see my tax dollars being grossly misused and even violate my families privacy. Salt Lake County has been contracted to do some road work in Herriman. There has been a worker sitting in a dump truck next to my house doing nothing for two days. This morning the employee proceeded to do cat calls to my wife as she was in my back yard playing with my son. After he was confronted by my Mother, who happened to stop by and saw my wife upset and feeling uncomfortable, he came up with the lame excuse that he won something on the radio and was excited and that was the noise she heard. His supervisor was there for this absurd story yet did nothing to rectify this. When I came home because my wife was uncomfortable i saw the truck still there so i went up and got his name and asked what radio station he supposedly won a contest with. After some time he came up with a radio station(I called, guess what he didn't win). He also gave me his supervisors name and number. When i walked up to his truck he had his boots off pants undone sitting there doing nothing. After getting some information I went to my house and talked with his supervisor. The driver was supposedly told to go to the other side of the street away from my house and when i asked his supervisor what his excuse for whistling after proving the radio contest false he had nothing. After realizing i wasn't going to get anywhere with his supervisor i got his. Still waiting for a call back from him but seeing how poorly managed this crew is, I am not counting on much. It is absolutely absurd that my taxes are going to a creep to sit in a truck and spy on my wife in my back yard. Our yard is fully fenced and private. This was not something that happened in the open. If this is how Salt Lake County feels using our taxes is proper, they are grossly mistaken.

I called in to report a road that has multiple potholes and expected the worst experience. I spoke to Kristy and she was the sweetest and most polite person. She assured me that we would get the road taken care of and even made a few side jokes to lighten the mood. I obviously don't expect the turn around time to be immediate on getting the road fixed; however, I have confidence that it will get done after the encounter.

I have been plowed in TWO days in a row!!! I cleaned away snow Monday night and tues morning only to have the plow driver COMPLETELY cover my sidewalk and leave a HUGE pile across the front of my driveway. I want to complain but the phone line has been busy since last night!!! This is UNACCEPTABLE!!! If I do NOT remove ALL snow within 24 hours, I get a ticket, but these plow drivers can cause immense amounts of work for citizens and not be held accountable??? I have photos to prove my point but cannot get a clear phone line!!! Way to go Salt Lake County Snow Removal, BTW your service SUCKS!!!
