Wow, a huge thank you to Nancy and her team at Saltadena! Not only did our wedding cake look beautiful the orchids we're gorgeous!! and taste amazing, but Nancy was so pleasant and professional. We really appreciated her prompt responses in email correspondences and thoroughness when arranging the cake pick up. We elected to pick it up ourselves, and Nancy gave us a secured box and tips for transport. It is clear that she cares deeply for her craft and the satisfaction of her customers. Next time we're in Bellingham, we'll have to try some of your other tasty treats!
This bakery is so amazing I don’t even know where to start! First, their cream puffs are amazing and they have rotating flavors—the ones I tried were London fog, pistachio orange and peanut butter chocolate. I am not a peanut butter fan but this bakery will convert you! The flavors and textures are out of this world. I have lived in NY and Philadelphia as well as traveled extensively throughout the country and in other parts of the world and I have not found a bakery that can rival this one. I patronize French bakeries whenever I am in the vacinity of one and always get macarons, and the ones at Saltadena are the best I’ve ever had! I fully tested their metal when I ordered a custom cake for my birthday. Words cannot express my gratitude for the talent, skill and creativity that went into my cake! It was the most beautiful cake I have ever seen and the flavors and the moistness of the cake were unsurpassed! Plus, they are as friendly as can be! If you’re within driving distance or visiting the area, make sure to stop by and get something that will be a party for your senses!
Do your tastebuds a favor and treat yourself to a date with some Saltadena Bakery goods! It’s my favorite place for a mama/daughter date. We LOVE the macarons. They are some of the best I have ever had and really unique flavors!
Love this little bakery! Scrappies are genius and delicious, the Salt & Pepper is my go-to favorite. Cookie sandwiches and cream puffs are always amazing too! I love the rotation of flavors and offerings, never a dull moment at Saltadena!
After having to cancel our wedding due to COVID, my husband and I decided to elope in Bellingham at the last minute in December 2020. I had heard of Saltadena Bakery and had always wanted to try it, so thought it would be the perfect place to get a small cake for our big day. We chose a vanilla cake with brown sugar molasses from the website and WOW did it not disappoint! We couldn’t stop talking about that cake for weeks! We ordered another cake for our 1-year anniversary and will continue to do so every December. I also can’t get enough of the Lil’ Scrappies!!
We ordered our wedding cake through Nancy at Saltadena. It was the smoothest process even during the times of uncertainty. Luckily for they had just opened for in person tasting and we got to experience that in person. When we walked in, the tasting was just us, Nancy and our planner. We got to sample 4 cake flavors and a surprising 2 macarons. The selection of flavor, design and what we wanted were pretty simple but Nancy made sure she understood our wants and wishes. I would definitely recommend this bakery for any bride having their wedding up north or who is willing to make the drive.
Their sweets are delicious! And I love the zero waste lil scrappies cup. Macaroons, cookies, cake, cream puffs. They make all the best!
I have been obsessed with Saltadena from my very first Lil' Scrappy. When it came time to figure out the cake for our wedding, it was a total no-brainer decision for who we wanted. Working with Nancy, the owner, was a breeze and she went above and beyond to help us. And of course, the cake. My god it was delicious. Our guests LOVED it folks could not believe just how perfectly the buttercream tasted of Cardamom and my husband and I couldn't resist munching on the couple of remaining slices over the next few days, no saved frozen pieces for us! Instead we both agreed we're probably going to need to order ourselves that cake to share every year and I cannot wait til next October rolls around. Do yourself a favor, go to Saltadena, get yourself a Lil' Scrappy, a creampuff, and some Macarons and enjoy!

She promptly responded to my initial inquiry and set up a tasting with the specific flavors I requested. The cake tasted incredible and Nancy provided several options and suggestions for cake designs. It was straightforward to book her services and she delivered a perfect cake on our wedding day. Nancy of Saltadena is one of the most creative, energetic, and exciting wedding professionals you'll ever meet. Nancy was so dedicated to our cake that even after we decided on a decision, she kept working on ideas and drafts and met with us because she didn't want to settle. "I want you to have the best cake I can create for your day" was a constant phrase from her. To have so much love and care for our wedding cake was so wonderful, and Nancy gave us an absolute showpiece. We were having a timeless and classic wedding, and she matched that to a T with her beautiful cake. She incorporated our gray color perfectly on the cake a color you don't typically see!, and gave us a delicious white cake with salted caramel and white chocolate buttercream. Beyond just an incredible product, I also gained a friend. So much so, that Nancy came to our wedding! Cake is so much more than just a dessert on special occasions, and I would highly recommend Saltadena for your day. No one will care more or give you the attention and love that your cake and day deserve!
