The Salvation Army Museum of the West showcases the history of the Salvation Army and its work in the western United States.
The Museum of the West is located at the College for Officer Training in Rancho Palos Verdes, California. The collection houses artifacts, photos, and documents that chronicle the ministry of the Army from 1883 to the present. The two main exhibit halls display the history of the Salvation Army, from its earliest days in the West to the present. Featured segments of history include the famous Doughnut Girls of WWI and the relief efforts following the Pueblo Floods. Available on the museum website, a historical photo database allows researchers, historians, officers, and others to investigate and learn about the Army's history on their own.
