Our 1st time at Sammy's.  We ordered a Large $18 appetizer of calamari.  Said it was Flash Fried on menu. It got to the table and was burned.  Tasted like burned breading and nothing else. I told our server Celina that it was burned and we were not satisfied.  She asked if we wanted a fresh order? Our meals were coming at that point.  The  service was spotty at best. Saw multiple staff eating with utensils and without at the drink station and then just go serve customers. Hygiene is Suspect at best. Had to ask for a drink refill 45 minutes in to meal. Service was blah.  My wife got basil chicken and liked it. I ordered the stuffed rice ball and was totally disappointed. Not sure we will be back.

Last night our office met here for a holiday dinner.  Our server was excellent.  She was attentive while giving our group the space we needed to talk and celebrate.  The food was excellent as always.  Seven guests all with different entrees.  Everyone was delighted with their dinner. The highlight of the evening was the desserts.  The dessert menu had so many options.  We all ordered something different and sampled each others.  No one left hungry.  Portion sizes were generous including dessert.  We all left with lunch for tomorrow and a smile on our face from such a wonderful evening.  Thank you!  Parking: Plenty  Dietary restrictions: Gluten free &amp; vegan options

As you enter the restaurant, you are greeted by a staff member. You are then seated. You are then greeted by your server whom introduces her/him self.  They take extremely good care of you. The food is always hot and very good. The server checks back quite often and is very friendly. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who likes a warm and friendly atmosphere along with great food.

Salad was out of a bag and not very fresh and the bread felt and tasted like it was sliced and left laying on the counter all day.  I had the gnocchi with meat sauce, that was good. Glad we tried it, but not planning to go back.

We tried this place for the first time tonight and we were blown away. They made a mistake on the order and more than made up for it. The food was absolutely amazing. We ordered pizza, lasagna, veal parmigiana, and some desserts. All of it was excellent and big portions. The staff were friendly and accommodating. We will definitely be back soon and this is our new go-to place for Italian!

We just can not thank Sam, his staff, and family enough for always taking the time to help provide for our family during times of happiness and also times of remembrance.  Sam and his staff have helped cater multiple events for our family. Both at their beautiful restaurant in Woodhaven, Michigan and catered offsite, fully staffed with delivery.  Sam and his staff are caring, attentive, and provide simply delicious authentic Italian food. We love Sammy’s!! The food is always fresh and hot, very flavorful too! We love that that have weekly/daily specials. There was only ever one time that we waiting over an hour to be seated but it was very understandable and the staff was still pleasant as ever!! My favorites are gnocchi with vodka sauce, the chicken Marsala, the caprese salad and the chicken paprikash soup!

Absolutely love this place . My favorite pizza is the loaded baked potato ! It's different and unique and delicious.  I also tried the chicken parm ! The ravioli with vodka sauce the chicken Alfredo and the  chicken marsala . Can't go wrong with any of them !!Food: 5/5

Having grown up in Italy, I was hoping for something which resembles food from back home. I was let down. The calamari was floating in liquid, therefore, it was soggy. The arancini seemed to have been fried in oil which hadn't been change in some time. I would not recommend it.

First visit at the Woodhaven location. Walked in and was greeted by Tanner. Very friendly   He was also our server. We were a party of four. Tanner was extremely efficient and accommodating. Food was wonderful. Tanner was informative with answers to our questions and promptly received our meals. I noticed a sign on the front door stating they are hiring. I must say, whomever is hired, I highly recommend they follow Tanners lead.
