Dear San Diego Police Department, The use of lethal force on a family Pet is completely unacceptable, it is estimated that 70 to 80 million Pet Dogs live in this Country, we consider them our family members, yet every single day in the United States of America a Pet Dog loses their life to the use of lethal force by law enforcement, and that needs to change, because Pets are a part of our lives. Dogs do what is natural to them, they protect their loved ones and their homes, they shouldn’t lose their lives over that, they may bark, and they may howl, and they may even run towards you, if an Officer is frightened there are many alternatives other than using deadly force, and breaking the hearts of the family members that considered their Dog their family member. Law enforcement needs to evolve, this is modern day America, everyone else in our communities are interacting with our Pets without shooting them, from the UPS man to the United States Postal Service. The shooting death of a 7 year old Pet Dog named Grizzly by one of your Officer’s was absolutely barbaric, that poor Dog was shot four times. I personally don’t think anyone should be a Police Officer if they are frightened of Pet Dogs, our Pets are not the equivalent of a Police Dog that is trained to kill. There is an online training video that your Police Officer’s need to watch as soon as possible, it was created by the Department of Justice the website address is: cops.igpa.uillinois.edu/resources/police-dog-encounters Please be an ally to the Citizens and their Pets in the Communities that you patrol by making sure your Officer’s are trained in non-lethal methods. Sincerely, Patty Jackson

Upon being released after two days in jail and having all of my charges dropped I discovered when I went to pick up my belongings that the arresting officer submitted my purse as evidence instead of personal property. Apparently you don't have to know how to do paperwork to carry around a gun.

I'm supposed to call a Miranda at William gore's place of business to register my home alarm system in person but to call first to make an appointment yet the sheriff substations out right. I well know the main reason for it and I can appreciate it my confusion why would the main sheriff department give me a strict direction just to be ignored by the substations.
