Ah, the main transit station in San Diego. Access to Amtrak and Coaster. Good place to get on train to LA. The gas station there is overpriced. A walk across the street brings you to Old Town which is a really cool place to check out. This place is always busy so I feel it is safe.

They need more space for pick up and drop off of passengers. Easier to read schedules would help too, so you don't have to read fine print to find your train. If you're over 40 you can't read that small print!

This transit center is a main station , you can go to many parts in San Diego There is Trolley Track 1 and 2 Coaster Track 3 Amtrack track 4 Mts busses on both sides May be confusing for 1st riders, all the sings and schedules are posted on the boards and all this information is available online too. To safely cross from one side to the other is an underground tunnel, you can buy your tickets on the automatic machines available it accepts bank cards and cash, there is a convenient store to get bottle water and snacks. Old town is within walking distance from this station. Winter time gets cold in the evening as there is nothing to block the wind.

I used to love this place, because I could park and take the trolley into the city for the weekend to visit my girlfriend. However, I got back this morning to find that last night for no apparent reason someone slashed all 4 of my tires and smashed in my driver's side window. They didn't even take anything. All faith in humanity lost. Go f'k yourself, San Diego.

Amtrak should put a sign where their track is. We got here early and was trying to figure out which track should we go to as there are 4 operational tracks. 90% of the train riders this morning asked the same question "Is this the track going to LA?" If you're taking the Amtrak, make sure you go to Track 4. MTS uses Tracks 1 and 2. Coaster uses Track 3.
