I loved this place.  A lot of families loved this place.  This pool was for everyone and was ripped from the park district tax payers.  Tax payers take a stand, let your voices be heard reopen sand park pool in 2019 after repairs in 2018 or close them all!  They closed a pool in a safe working class neighborhood.  All things need upkeep.  Please consider selling Harkins to the Rockford housing authority.  Make a plan to withdraw services out of community centers by 10 percent per year based upon 2017 numbers as a ten year plan.  Do not start the community center increase in 2018--pull out now.  We have to charge for things and yes I like free things when they are SAFE and well ran.  The village this is in should be screaming discrimination.  Where are they???  It goes to show municipalities like to collect money while not representing everyone.  Let the churches run the community centers because they don't pay taxes after all.

There's not that many activities to do but it is fun to hang out with your family and also keep a close eye on them good for young once too

Small, but fun water park.  Grew up going to Sand Park pool.  Then my children.  Now my grandchildren! Perfect size park,not too overwhelming.  Much easier to keep track of children, and relax a little, too!  Inexpensive, clean, and you can even take in coolers for your cold drinks and food.  I like it!

This is a great place to bring the kids for some swimming in the summer. So many thing to do and at a reasonable price. It's best to come during the week vs. the weekends.
