Service was prompt; turn-around time was quick; they have great hours; and their stitches were beautiful. If you speak whatever version of Chinese they speak, or have tremendous patience for gestures and one-word confusing conversations, then you won't mind what drove me crazy...and, I am afraid to say, almost to the point of yelling rudely in frustration. I kept trying to tell the old man in the pictures -- (not the same person who wrote up the job...that was a woman whose English was marginally better) -- that I was there to pick up a billfold they had repaired. He kept pointing at the purses and the shoes and saying incomprehensible words. I finally (should have thought of this sooner :/) found a little cloth wallet in my bag and showed it to him. I said the word "black" -- he caught on (at long last!) and went to a little cubbyhole behind the counter, where he retrieved my black leather billfold. Again, the repair work itself was beautiful.

I've taken at least 5 pairs of shoes and boots there for tips and heel cut down..they've done a great job on all of my shoes, and now my sister even goes there now! No the English is not the best, but I make sure I leave with a TOTAL understanding!

I would not recommend working with these folks unless you speak whatever their language is. I do not fault people for speaking their language or being bilingual, I think it's great, but it doesn't help when you're trying to conduct business with someone and you can't communicate with them. I called and asked if they repaired vacuum cleaners. The answer I received was "come here." I told them I wasn't just going to come there without having my question answered, and all they would say over and over, was "come here." I then asked if I could speak with someone else that would answer my question. I was given to another woman that said some things I couldn't understand, followed by giving me their address. All I wanted to know was what was the cost to replace a power cord on a few cleaners. I wanted to support a local business and I just wanted to know a simple answer to a simple question. If this seems like a reasonable expectation for you, I assure you that you will not be please. I suggest you go elsewhere. Sorry to have to give this review.
