Today I went to symphony branch to correct my old address that was printed on my rent check. The branch manager asked me to change it online using customer service tab. But I said I had updated it couple of months ago. Then he figured out my address is already updated and still not showing up on the check. Then I asked him to update the address for bill payments as well. Instead of doing that he asked me back why would I want to update it. Then I said my landlord wants me to put my current address on the check. Then he argued that landlord can not ask me to do that. Then I asked him once again to change the address. He picked up the phone, dialed a number and was waiting on the line for about 5 minutes. Because of the rude way he talked to me, I didnt want to stay there any longer, I said I'd find an alternative way to make the payment and I left. I was really unhappy with the way he talked to me. He was rude arrogent and unfreindly. He didnt care about what I really wanted. I have been a Santander customer since 2016 and none of the people I met in any of the branches behaved in such an irresponsible way. People of this nature should not deal with customers by any means.

This is the worst experience with any bank I've had in my life, and I'm not young. I opened a basic checking account four months ago upon moving back to Boston. This really should not be a complicated task, for a bank, and yet every. single. interaction I've had since has involved unprofessional, rude tellers and other employees, people who are clueless about what they're supposed to do, or apparently even how banking works, and become extremely snarky if you patiently explain it to them. Their employees have zero concept of the most basic concepts of customer service, whether in person or on the phone. Who answers the phone at a branch of a national bank with "Hello?" I thought I had dialed a wrong number. And that was one of the more benign moments (although the person on the other end began speaking in so thick a foreign accent she was incomprehensible). I'm not a malcontent and I've never had a problem with a bank before, but these people are beyond ridiculous. I noticed a number of the reviews here (all seem to be negative) are several years old, so I decided I should write so people will know; nothing has changed, if anything its gotten worse. Don't even think about doing business with this bank.

Horrible service. Always have excuses for the simplest things. I ordered a card almost 3 weeks ago and still haven't received my card they keep telling me 5 business days and its been well over 3 weeks. And two different addresses. Time for a different bank that's more responsible.

Always courteous service with these guys. The branch is small, so there's always the over-arching presence of the security guard, but it's a bank so what do you expect? Overall great service, couldn't ask for a better home branch.
