Pitch your tent or park your camper on one of over 100 campsites nestled along both the bayside and lakeside beaches of the lake. Sara’s Campground is located directly between Presque Isle State Park, with over 12 miles of public beaches, bike paths and nature trails, and Waldameer Amusement Park and Water World. The beaches of Lake Erie are said to offer sunsets that are the second best only to those found in Hawaii, and Presque Isle State Park is visited by more people in one season than Yellowstone National Park. Lake Erie is alive and flowing with activity, and Sara’s Campground is the place to be on Lake Erie!

I highly recommend stopping at Sarah's when in Erie. It's such a near place to check out. The atmosphere is very upbeat & the staff is pleasant & helpful.  They have ice cream & yogurt & both are great! I get a yogurt cone which is peanut butter/vanilla combo & I love it!

The only place near Presque Isle State Park where you can camp, specifically tent camp on the beach. The staff here were very friendly. The beach was rather crowded to me, especially for a Tuesday, and there are no designated sites for tents. The staff told us the beach has gotten significantly smaller due to the lake. There are fire rings and picnic tables aplenty. They also have camping near the trees and RV sites too. The campground store had everything you needed from cleaning supplies to firewood and ice, and the prices were very reasonable. The bathrooms were clean, the showers cost money though, 25 cents for 5 min. The sunset was beautiful and worth the trip alone. If you're a camper, I highly recommend camping here.

Having a great time on the Presque Isle peninsula. The proximity is what I most appreciate about Sara's. I generally prefer a state park type camping experience. The camp ground is a little crowded and tightly packed but very kid and pet friendly. The staff are helpful and nice. The bathrooms are clean. Showers are coin operated but $1 is more than enough to soak in the hot water and get washed up. If you're planning to explore the peninsula this is a great jumping off point.

Camping is great but camping on the beach is so awesome.  Great therapy,  can believe it's the ocean.   Making new friends,  seeing old ones,  sitting around campfires,  the kids loving every minute.   Making great memories here that will last a lifetime!

My family and I stayed here Labor day weekend 2017, as well as my wife and I's honeymoon in 2016, and the weather was rough, but it was still so awesome. Our tent was shredded in the howling winds and flooded from the pounding rains, but we survived. The sunsets are the most beautiful I have ever seen, ever. The store was always open when I needed something, and the people were SOOO nice. Everyone we met, including the staff, were amazing. Thank you all so much for being so hospitable! You have customers for life!
