Went here for physical therapy. First off the therapist, Jacky was excellent, caring and attentive during evaluation and each session. Once evaluation was sent for approval from my insurance I had to wait for a phone call from rehab department which called on a Thursday and explained the insurance approval was in and was good for 4 consecutive weeks with 2 sessions a week but due to staff out sick that initial week no one called so I could not get my 4 weeks of therapy only 3 weeks, wow!! Second week, third session, they called to cancel due to therapist having an emergency, fine, I understand. I had to convince the desk staff to reschedule me so I wouldn't lose another session since I had already lost two due to her being out of the office the first week and no one else being able to call and schedule first 2 sessions for week 1. She wanted to just wait and see what the therapist had to say and see where she could fit me in on our next session, which was a Thursday and no guarantee I could get a makeup session on that Friday. Confusing, I know! Separate issue, I tried calling to confirm my appointment time and could not get any one to answer the phone, mind you I called around 10 times over a 2 hour span 1-3pm. I eventually left a message but it states any message left after 2pm may not be returned until the next day!!! Desk staff seem to be lazy and not care about patient satisfaction at all!! UPDATE: Good news!! Therapy department reached out to me and stated they had called my insurance and got an extension for the missed session due to lack of communication. I appreciate this so much and wished It could have been addressed in the start. I hope in the future they continue to reach out to their customers and try to improve in areas that need it.

I've been here many times. The ER doctors that I met are completely awful and rude. Most of the front desk staff are rude as well. I've met 1 woman who works the front desk that was nice and i think shes new. I came here the other day to get x-rays done on my sons arm (non emergency) and the doctor who did it was very nice and helpful.

I took my mother there last night after a bad fall. They did a great job, and exceeded my expectations. It is great to have near by, and is a fantastic ER and should not be confused with a long term care physicality. I'm sure a couple if the lower reviews were cuased by the stress of a health crisis, but a great addition to the community - keep up the great work!!

On May 24, I went to the ER of Sarasota Memorial Hospital because I had been feeling the symptoms of sinusitis for a week. I was seen by the staff with kindness and professionalism, however quite poor actual medical attention. I was seen by a PA-C, who only checked my ears. A nurse then washed out my left ear because I had some wax. I was then told that I was going to hear better and the nurse proceeded with the discharge papers. I asked her to send the PA-C back because I was disappointed, I let her know that I had come for sinusitis symptoms and that my throat was bothering me, and she told me that I had not told her that. When one complains of sinusitis symptoms, I would expect that the logical course to achieve a proper diagnosis would be to check the nostrils, throat, ears, and lungs. Personally, I feel cheated of proper medical attention and am utterly disappointed and shocked at the lack of adherence to basic medical protocol and service. That said, I would like to know how much Medicare is going to be billed for health care that I did not receive or how this situation will be remedied.

This small emergency room did the right tests and quickly found a heart condition in my healthy and athletic young teen, then had her transferred to a children's hospital, where she was able to get the top-quality care she needed. So thankful that the doctors and staff were so competent and covered all bases, even though a heart condition is unlikely is healthy children. Professional, prompt care.
