INNNNNNCREDIBLE FOOD. I've eaten at dozens of Thai restaurants in and around NYC and LI, but this place is definitively the best. My whole family and I couldn't stop talking about how amazing the whole experience was. It's a really nice restaurant with a really great staff, too. We plan on coming back here for each and every birthday we all have.

Very nice place. Beautiful decor inside. Food was average, service was great. Great Thai place for lunch or dinner.

Place looks amazing and not what you would expect from the outside. High Ceiling mounted massive wooden hanging structure, ample seating, nice murals, etc. Food was really good. Had the Yellow curry and with a spicy soup that had a bite but not too bad. Will be going back here.

Saturday dinner for two couples at Sawasdee Thai Elevated in Plainview. It's located in a strip mall with plenty of parking in the evening. The decor is clean and modern (although we all noticed how hard the chairs were after our 3-hour gab fest). We started with Laotian beer (a bit light for my taste, but nice, and there were a number of selections), and shared two unique and delicious appetizers: vegetable dumplings (unexpected shape and flavors) and "Golden Bags" (a mixture of chicken and vegetables lightly fried in a crisp dough pouch). My excellent roast duck curry entree was creatively prepared, and they were very accommodating when I asked them to omit the pineapple. The pad Thai was one of the better versions of that dish that I have tasted. The four of us shared a slice of very good mango cheesecake to finish the meal. I'd agree with the restaurant's motto: "Not your neighborhood Thai." I look forward to returning. * * * * * * * In late December, I wrote about my first trip to Sawasdee Thai Elevated in Plainview, and concluded my comments by saying that I looked forward to returning. A friend commented that we should meet there next time, and that happened last evening for two couples who hadn’t dined together in 2 years (TSRC helps friends get together!). Our February experience happily was consistent with our first time (and these friends have been there a number of times). My green curry dish (shrimp) was very good , and a bit spicier than at most L.I. Thai restaurants, which pleased my palate (they offer to adjust the spice to your taste, but I was curious to see how they did it without my input). I used my Foodie Card for the first time (thank you, Neil Foster), and it was seamless (pardon the pun). The restaurant owners, a married couple, are hardworking, sincere, and aim to please. They succeed.
