An awesome little store where you'll find hundreds of North Carolina made local products such as nuts, spices, and sauces. They have a great a little coffee and tea bar with a fantastic diner with an eclectic  menu. Although I cannot review the diner (yet) the store is a great little stop to pick up refreshments and local food items. Because there is access to the river we will be coming back to spend the day kayaking on the river and taking in the scenery while catching our next meal here. More to come!

One of the best restaurants you will ever stumble upon - yes it’s a bit of a drive to get to but it’s so worth it. The menu changes as the season and by what’s available so it’s fun to see what is being served when ever you go. There are staples that are served year round , but the specials are what really shine.  An added bonus is often times the farmer who grew or raised might be sitting at the table next to you is always cool.

A good place for healthy food joint on this side of the county.  Pricey - yes, longer waits- sometimes, meals made your way - almost always willing to accommodate.  

Used to love your burgers but now they are deep fried,  what happened?   Atmosphere - always awesome!  Check it out.

During the summer season they have a wonderful concert series across the street.  Folks will often come by the General Store to pick up a bottle or two to enjoy the hot Carolina evenings.  Cheers

Their pan seared and blackened salmon tacos are delicious. I love grabbing lunch here and then heading over to the coffee shop for a cappuccino.

Incredible find. This is a place worth the drive if you are even remotely close to the area. They call it the 5 star gas station, and not just for any reason. These guys dish out some amazing food and from what I hear it rotates all the time. I came during the week at lunch time, but have heard from others that it can be incredibly busy at times. Had a burger with duck bacon and blackberry jam etc, so tasty! It’s definitely a staple around here and worth coming by to see the general store and eat (if you are lucky enough not to hit a massive line). Highly recommended!
