Anyone with any sense of morality will refrain from visiting this state until its government can get its act together and take down a symbol of racism, hatred, and white supremacy that shouldn't be flying on public property in the first place. I personally refuse to give any more money in the form of tourism to a government that spends its tax money cultivating antiquated ideals of "Southern Heritage." There aren't any Swastikas flying in Munich, so its time South Carolina let go of a very, dark, shameful part of its past. Congratulations, you were the first to secede, and apparently one of the last realize that you were fighting a shameful, immoral battle that was lost more than a century ago. Maybe because money is the only way anything gets done in politics a steady decline in tourism will get the idiotic state government to finally back down. Maybe not. Either way, the pathetic excuse for a *representative* state legislature needs to consider the meaning of the confederate flag to its black citizens--- its time South Carolina came back to the Union (its been over 150 years...time to admit you were wrong).
