Exceptional Feline Care

Mission

The medical vision was clear from the beginning. I saw a clinic that would offer clients and their cats the best that veterinary medicine had to offer in a soothing and relaxing environment. I saw a clinic that would cater exclusively to cats, enabling both the staff and the doctors to specialize in the unique physiology of cats. I saw a hospital that, without dogs, would significantly reduce the stress that cats experience when seeing a veterinarian.

As we slowly put together a business plan, I started to see what kind of owner and what kind of small-business person I wanted to be. We wanted to be an integral part of the community, part of a dense fabric that made up a true neighborhood, not just a nice place in a strip mall. We wanted to solidify our part in this community, so we built our clinic in the same neighborhood where we’ve spent most of our time—downtown Scottsdale.

We also think it very important to give back to the community in some fashion. The best way to do that, of course, is to use our expertise. We have eagerly joined forces with local shelters and rescue organizations to help with the stray and feral cat population. We are dedicated to helping spay, neuter, test and heal stray cats for these noble organizations.

Dental Services
Like humans, cats will need professional cleaning of their teeth. We offer full digital dental x-rays, cleaning and tooth extraction services. We also can advise you about proper home care of your cat’s teeth.

Spaying and Neutering
In addition to preventing unwanted litters, spaying or neutering your cat can help with behavioral and medical problems throughout your cat’s life. Like all our surgeries, we use the AccuVet laser for a quick and less painful healing process.

Semi-Annual Exams
Our goal is to keep your cat healthy and happy by stopping problems before they happen. To that end we recommend semi-annual exams, a crucial element in recognizing subtle or internal changes that might go unnoticed. We do a complete physical examination, discuss any dietary changes that might be best for your cat, and perform regular wellness testing that include routine checks on your cat’s blood and urine.

Vaccination counseling
Depending upon your cat’s lifestyle, we also will recommend specific vaccines and tests to insure that they are protected from the most common ailments.

Boarding
On those occasions when you might need to be away from your cat, we offer boarding supervised by your cat’s own veterinarian. Our services are especially helpful for cats with chronic conditions or who need daily medications.

Diagnostic Testing
Rather than simply treat your cat’s symptoms when he or she is ill, we first look for the cause of the problem. We offer an extensive array of testing options to diagnose your cat’s condition.

Nutrition counseling
A proper diet and healthy weight are critical to your cat’s well-being. Whether your cat is healthy, has a chronic problem, or needs to lose a few pounds, we can recommend the best diet and provide you with any specialized foods he or she might need.

Microchipping
Nobody likes to think of their cat being lost. But if that unfortunate event happens, a microchip implanted in your cat offers the very best means of getting your cat back home and safe.

Laser Surgery
Veterinary medicine benefits from advances made in human medicine. If your cat needs surgery, we will use the AccuVet laser surgical instrument. Laser surgery greatly reduces bleeding, swelling and pain, insuring a quicker and less stressful recovery period.

Behavioral counseling
Cats don’t always behave the way we hope they will. While they are notorious for having an independent streak, we can work with you and your cat to encourage him or her to alter their behavior.
