We did the tasting menu and it was amazing. Every bite was excellent and the fish was incredibly fresh and buttery. Some of the best fish quality I’ve had in LA. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in town.Food: 5/5
This was my first time ever trying Presses Sushi, and what an interesting concept! While it had great flavor and I loved the fish, it fell apart and was more difficult to eat than regular sushi or cut rolls. I went with the Tuna Citrus $19.50 because the server said it was one of their most popular from the pressed section. It had tuna, spicy albacore, gobo, jalapeño, and a small fresh lemon slice on top. Pressed sushi is something I recommend every sushi lover try at least once for the experience. They have a variety of crispy rice options that range from $6-$15, and we went with the spicy tuna crispy rice for $8.50. It comes with two pieces and it’s absolutely amazing, a must order. I loved the amount of truffle and yuzu on their menu. My favorite thing about Seabutter was that they had fresh wasabi available. The name of the restaurant really threw me at first, but it was a great choice if you enjoy unique sushi. For parking, I’d recommend dining after 6pm so that you can get free metered street parking.
Don’t recommend ordering from here. Delayed an hour and my courier told me there were multiple other delivery drivers waiting. Once it finally arrived I did not think the sushi was fresh. Definitely wouldn’t recommend.Food: 1/5
First time eating at Seabutter and we had an amazing experience. The food and service was exactly what we were looking for. Hip and cozy at the same time. The sushi chefs were a lot of fun. I highly recommend sitting at the bar to have a more interactive experience
I had a wonderful my meal at Seabutter. Quality of the food was excellent and the selection was impressive. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Price point matches the quality and service. A very chill atmosphere with good music!Dine in: YesOutdoor seating: YesTakeout: YesDelivery: Yes
Decent sushi with different roll options but was expecting a bit more flavor and quality suggestive of the restaurant name for something near Beverly Hills. This restaurant is more of a lunch place not a high dining sushi experience. Most of the dishes are fusion. Pressed sushi is decent but falls apart unlike other restaurants with decent pressed sushi. Aburi style flamed sushi is a standout. I highly suggest not getting the 911 roll - extremely spicy beyond measure. My lips are still burning hot as I write this review.
We had the sparkling sake, the tasting menu, mochi for dessert, and everything was great! The service and ambiance were also great, food came out quick and they had great music! Came out to $250 for 2 people before tip.Food: 5/5
I used to love this place and grabbing takeout. However, they’ve stopped picking up their phones for orders and I’ve had to resort to Postmates. Order postmates with a 25-35 minute wait to pick up, which then jumps to 1 hr 30 min. Ok fine maybe they had a sudden spike. Get to the restaurant when I’m told to and I’m not even acknowledged. Finally, the front desk tells us it’ll be another 30 minutes. After waiting 40 minutes, we finally ask the waitress what’s going on and she tells us she can’t tell us when the food will be ready and we should just tell Postmates to cancel - even though they’ve marked the order as completed on their end. I understand these apps aren’t great for restaurants, but if are not working out, then take your restaurant off the apps and pick up the phone for take out orders like in the past. This was order #9B30E on Postmates.
What a badddddd BADDDDDd place to do Take Out orders!!!!!! Don’t do it!!!!!! Original order was 35min- they increased the timeline to wait 1 hour. No problem, I went to pick up and the person in charge said will be another 25min?????? After waiting 45minutessss inside the restaurant, this lady in charge said “Just cancel your order because the chefs are not going to be able to make your food” so irresponsible and waste of my time. Simple- If you don’t have enough employees to do your job don’t accept orders. Order #9B30E
We ordered food to go. When we showed up they marked it as complete but never brought us the food. After 30 mins they said "call postmates and cancel it" while they had sushi coming out for everyone else in the restaurant. There was like 8 ppl waiting for food to go and they didn't make it for any of us. I mean come on. If you're not going to make food why are you a restaurant?
