Seamstress is a pleasant enough restaurant and bar. Service was friendly and efficient. The ambiance is nice- dimly lit and relaxed. The food was just so-so to me, though. It's possible my party and I just ordered too much of the same sort of thing, but it was just a bit blase after a while. Fried cauliflower, crispy potato wedges, shishito peppers, and biscuits with chili honey- nothing bad in this mix, but I'd recommend not getting these all together. It was just heavy and almost all fried, with the exception of the biscuits. The one exception were the fish cakes that we tried, which I think was a special that night. These were simple but tasty. All in all, a pleasant experience, but not too memorable.

Great vibe! The atmosphere is very cozy, the food is good and the drinks are yummy. It can get a little too cozy at times but that’s to be expected in a smaller venue. And the menu is set up more for snacking/ sharing than a real meal. Definitely recommended for cocktails.

Great place for cocktails, personable service, and chill neighborhood vibes. The Upper East Side needs more places like this! A unique is that they garnish their drinks with dehydrated citrus. I was a bit skeptical, but it was explained that the slides 'plump-up' as you imbibe, and by the end of your cocktail you have a delicious little bite to end it with. I was steered correctly. The new fall menu will be coming out in a few weeks- I can't wait to sample the new concoctions.

This place is gorgeous, from the tree trunk table in the center to the medieval chandeliers. All cocktails are made from scratch ingredients, go for their happy hour drinks they are amazing. I had the Old Fashioned and it was perfect a freshly shaved piece of orange rind. We enjoyed it with a dozen oysters that had an amazing scratch cocktail sauce. The sauce was almost like a jelly paste that just smeared on smoothly. We also shared some bites an amazing pate followed by some burrata with mushrooms. My favorite was the Mutton Burger and I capitalized the first letters because it is a must have (medium rare of course). I will say Luis is an amazing bartender and I am glad to have him as out bartender. He made the place very welcoming and answered all of our questions. This will be a place I would recommend to friends and will come back to in the future.

This place is amazing, from the lush velvet curtains in the front to the smell of a freshly lit fire in the back. They have a great wine list and an even better cocktail menu. I only had the pleasure of a few small plates, but they didn't disappoint.
