Good for home furniture. But now store is closing soon after Sears file for the bankruptcy.

I usually shop here especially with all the deals going on and never have had a problem until last week. I was looking to buy shape wear to wear under a dress I had just bought. I went to sears around an hour and a half to closing, it was on my way out of the mall. My mother and I went to the section right beside the change rooms, no costumers were there it was quite dead. Two sales associates whom were older ladies were there talking. My mom and I grabbed a few pieces of shapewear for me to try on. As I was trying them on, the sales associates circled into the change room staring at my mom, not saying a word and scrambling to look like they were doing something. They didn't ask if we needed help, didn't even really acknlowdge we were there besides coming in and staring. So my mom and I continued to try on a bunch of pieces, my mom having to continuously go back and put them on the shelf completely with no assistance from the associates that were doing nothing but talking and walking in and out clearly doing nothing but watching. So I was voicing my frustration wth the shapewear to my mom whom was standing outside the changeroom and at this time the sales associate had walked in and had decided to make a remark of 'then maybe you should be trying on the right size'. I heard this and then heard her walk out of the change rooms. It took my mom everything not to yell at this rude and obnoxious sales associate who was not giving us any help and making us very uncomfortable coming in and out with clearly no reason to do so. My mom got so angry, she stated to me she would not spend money at this store with that type of disgusting costumer service. It really upset me as I am of a larger size and I was trying on every large size available and to hear a comment so rudely said to me as I was clearly needing help, was unthinkable. Then as we were walking out, both my mom and I very clearly upset with the service. The women decided to pop up from fiddling with one of the racks and said 'are you not getting anyrhing?' I had to tel my mom not to respond and to walk away. It is very disappointing that when I am going to spend upwards of $80 on a piece of clothing I am treated not only disrespectfully, but as I I am unwanted and Bothering these women to do their job. I am only horrified because if I was a younger women whom was very shy and very insecure with my size, a comment of that nature would have very well upset me greatly. I will be Contacting the manager, if not higher. If you don't like your job, don't be in retail because this specific event ruined my day completely and completely broke my confidence with finding something for my body. I'm sad to say I probably will not spend money at this store again.

14yrs ago we bought the Vegas leather (level 1) manual recliner sectional set, and although 2 of the levers did have to be replaced, that was after 11yrs of use pretty much every night. We are now in the market for couches at our cottage and tried Sears again. Low and behold they still have this model - I'm not surprised because it stands the test of time. We have decided on the same sectional, just a different configuration. Although we've decided to now get electric recliners and get the grade 2 leather. This is not a reflection on past problems as the level 1 leather is still great, it is more a reflection of needing a different colour and the level 2 had what we want for the new location. I'm happy with their products and service. Hope my review helps you :)

Expecting mattress delivery today. Dismantled bed and bagged king size mattress. Then received a call cancelling delivery till Tuesday. Unacceptable. Challenging task for disabled seniors. Will never shop at Sears again. Very very frustrated with delivery service. This is how you lose customers.

It has been an absolute nightmare dealing with this company. My parents ordered a dining set back in February. They received 4 chairs with wrong fabric color and 2 chairs with wrong wood frame and wrong fabric color. So many calls back and forth my parents fed up and decided to keep 4 chairs although they are not the color that they orderded and change the 2 that have wrong wood frame. Again so many calls to sears customer service and sears Newmarket store we paid to order 2 chairs as the associate said it would be easier if we pay and get reimbursed when we return the 2 wrong chairs. This was on May 4th. ( oroginal order was in February!!!). So many calls again to sears customer service to see when the order will arrive delivery date was set on June 20th. I called sears twice and made sure that delivery will be on June 20th. We also received a call the day before about delivery window. On the day of delivery we received a call from delivery truck driver that the chairs are on back order and there is nothing to deliver. Called customer service again. And everytime that we call customer service we have to tell the story from beginning!!! They said yes they are on back order and vender does not have the chairs and they have no idea when the chairs will be delivered and promised that we will receive a call back when they figure it out. 3 days later, no calls. My sister called the store. Store does not know when the vender will have the chairs. We requested to get a refund for the payment that was made in May since we already paid for the order back in February. They agreed. I spoke with Karla TWICE and made it clear not to cancel the order and just issue the refund and we still expect to receive the chairs. And it seemed that she understood. Today I received a call from sears that the order has been cancelled from the store!!!!!! Are you kidding me?!?!?!? And customer service said that the chairs are not on the catalogue anymore so they cant order!!!!!!!We have put so much time and energy on this. Company made a mistake and we tried to stay calm and pay for the order twice and now we are stuck with wrong chairs. We have been dealing with this non sence for 5 months and it absolutely does not make sense at all. Too bad I live in Vancouver and can not go to the store personally. No kidding that sears is going broke. With the customer service this poor, they deserve bankruptcy. Never will step into any sears store again. I furnished my house and used 6 different companies. Never had any problems. Wish I could give no stars. In response to the response: I have tried to talk to the store manager. He did not accept my call as he said he has talked to my sister. When he talked to my sister he told her to ask sales associate to see if chairs are available in the store which they were not, I wanted to update him but Anna(the person who I talked on the phone) said she can not put me through to talk to him!!!!!! another great aspect of customer service. I received an email later that store will contact the vender and update me in one day. 3 days passed. Nothing.
