They really have some great deals here, and I'm a stickler for deals. One stop shop pretty much. Only problem I had was that the staff wasn't helpful, they'd point me in a direction and leave me to do the rest.

The staff member that I spoke with was very knowledgeable of the tools in that department. His name is Kevin, an older gentleman. I had a ton of questions, and he was able to answer all of them without doubt or pause. Sears should recognize that they have an asset in this employee.

I called the store 3 times to confirm that there was somewhere I can chain up my bike or a bike rack around before I left my home and the lady that picked up assured me that there is. I arrive at the front of the building to see there’s nothing. I called the store once more just to reconfirm with the lady and she tells me “it must be in the back then” I made two circles around the store just to find out that there is NOTHING. I live about 4 miles from the store and I biked it with the thought of there being somewhere I can keep my transportation locked and safe while I shop. For a store with 3 stars you’d expect the store to have excellent customer service but instead you have an idiot who doesn’t double check her stuff before she gives a response. So very inconvenient.

I ordered a refrigerator and was called to confirm delivery between 2-4. At that time, I asked if he did, indeed, have the smaller truck I requested since we have a slight hill and a bigger truck can make it up our driveway more easily. He said he did not have the smaller truck so he wanted to cancel the delivery. I said that was NOT acceptable because I took out all our food from the old refrigerator and this truck was already confirmed. Besides, I said, my home is only 4 miles from the North Hollywood store so he can go back and get a smaller truck, or just park on the street and bring it up in a dolly. We have had large pieces of furniture delivered that way many times. He didn’t want to go back to the store, so I insisted to speak to his supervisor. He ASSURED me that the truck would be there, as promised between 2-4. At 2:30, the truck driver called and said his truck wouldn’t go under the trees on a street near my home and he had to turn back. I was very angry and said that was impossible since our own large moving van was able to drive under the trees and no one has ever been prevented from moving forward. I asked to have the supervisor call me. He called and said the driver would return to the store and get a new truck that would deliver the fridge no later than 5pm. I INSISTED that he could not come any later since our food has been out of our old fridge since 1:30 and we had to leave to go to LAX for a flight arriving at 7:15. Anyone attempting to go to LAX on a Friday afternoon from the valley know the traffic will be fierce. I was ASSURED it would arrive on time. You guessed it - NO ONE SHOWED UP!! We had to leave for LAX immediately and did not have time to return food to our old refrigerator. Over $250 worth of food was ruined and we did not get our new refrigerator until 3 days later!! I will NEVER buy a large item from Sear’s EVER again!!

Friendly staff and amazing prices. So so low. They have big parking lot with some stores and us postal service in the corner. It was hard finding a parking spot.
