This sears use to be a good place to shop. Now-a-sears prices are through the roof. I don't like selection here.

I got in an email yesterday stating that this Sears store was having a Hiring Day on Tuesday (which is today) and I should schedule a timed appointment, so I did. In the email I was to pick 3 scheduled appointments. When I arrived I looked to ask one employee some directions, she was very nice and pointed me in the direction I needed to go. I got confused so I started to approach another employee with dark rimmed glasses, she seen me approaching but yet, decided to turn her back as if she was busy talking to other employees. I still asked her where to go for my interview and she pointed me to an elevator to go the third floor. When I got into the elevator the 3 floor button was broken so I had to press the button a few times for it to show on the little screen. Finally arrived to the floor, the lady at the desk checked me in and told me that I can sit and wait for the manager because he was taking care of a costumer. I waited for 30mins and after 30mins she called and told him "don't forget that he has an interview". After 25mins past the lady called again and reminded him that he had someone to interview (me) and if he or someone named Joe is going to do it. I know it doesn't take that long to deal with a costumer. I was ready to leave but I thought it would look unprofessional. Then a lady walks in, the desk lady asked her if she could interview me and she decided to say yes. I don't believe this lady was a manager nor had any knowledge of how to do an interview. The interview lasted 3MINS!!...3 FREAKING MINS and all she did was ask me 2 question, jot down either yes or no on an Interview Guide then tells me that the store was never hiring and she will keep my (short amount of information) if a recent employee gets fired or if they are off for the holidays. What kind of information is THAT!! I could have got the information that they weren't hiring an hour ago, way before all that unnecessary, long waiting. As for my experience, this store shouldn't even get one star but for others your experience is your experience. Good luck. Posted: 11/29/2016
