Update 8/14/17  I HAVE CHANGED MY REVIEW.  Was going to camp at 2nd Crossing for 3 or 4 nights but turned around and went elsewhere.  This place has turned into a dump, in terrible disrepair.  Sign out front says it is for sale.  No one was around, office locked, trailer locked. Looks abandoned, road going through the camp ground area is very bad, picnic tables are broken.  This is sad, this use to be such a good place to camp.  I will only go back if someone refurbishes the grounds and makes it more desirable.  The location is perfect and this could once again become a great camping place.

This is probably the best campground on the Guadalupe river bar none!  I have camped here many times for the past 23 years, and most of the people who camp there are the same way and have been camping there for many years and keep coming back.   The park is small with some nice trees but is laid out in a way where it is very easy to get to know your fellow camper.  All spots have electric and water.  The best part of this camp is that you can camp as close as 5 feet from the river and wake up with the view right out your tent or camper, it is great.  The new owners are nice and helpful.  I will always refer new campers to this great park!

Been going for years. Was pretty concerned with our trip this year because the change of ownership and recent bad reviews... But it was as good as ever.   Be back next year.

We love coming here, always have a good time and make new friends. We have been coming here for years. It's under new management and they have a new employee that makes you feel very welcome and checks on you during the day and night. Yes Ron I'm talking about you, thanks for everything you do for us to make our stay more enjoyable.
