Every time you need to have a transaction dealing with this secretary of state, you will be ask to complete your appropriate documents & it is our job/responsibility to follow it because they are following instruction too.The thing is when they are the one who make mistakes ,still the customer need to re do things over.We are working people too, our time are precious just like them too.Our son the 1st time they issued  state I.D it was IN CORRECT instead of M they printed it with (F ). We just waited until it expired so not much of wasting time dealing with this issue.The time need to renew, the SAME all documents need to provide.What is the purpose of having computer if we can't stored all data in it and asking OVER & OVER the same stuff? Improve your data base! We follow the rules, bring all documents along with this minor son to renew state ID with wrong gender.He filled up documents ,double checked  by mom & dad make sure correct! They took picture of him..very visible he is a MALE! Look at the picture if have doubt! Twice mistake of your office (POOR )  as in F failed result! Got again the new state identification with F...FEMALE!How come the mistake of your employee /workers , we the customer will pay the PRICE?We can't correct it without bringing again ALL the same document as we talk to one employee over the phone!We need to bring the minor  (my son) to re do it again! He is at school and we are working too. We need the I.D for other purpose dealing with government yet in correct! How hard it is to ENCODE paper works correctly? Your OFFICE made mistake TWICE! what is the consequence of it? Your client are the one paying the price. PLEASE do IMPROVE your system! Train the workers very well to make everything  simple, organize & systematic. Hoping someday soon  this branch will have EXCELLENT service! So DISAPPOINTING! Be in our shoes too & feel our disappointment of your poor service!

The Lapeer branch is horrible they need to update their eye machine my son just got brand new glasses and can see everything great except that machine "oh you need to see your eye doctor and have him fill out these papers " costs him $90 every time to get eye exam. I hear they updated their way of giving numbers when they need to update the eye machine. You go in to a kiosk and put you phone number in sometimes it prints a ticket  a number or it will text you by the last 4 digits of you phone. Didn't matter if you were there before someone else or not. Way to go Lapeer County

I work in Lapeer so this branch is the closest for me so I have tried it several times and 75% of the times I have gone there I have had issues. I can go to any other branch with the same stuff and they can take care of it within mins after this branch tells me it can't be done. I have even had issues just putting my dot physical on file for my CDL. They really need to learn what they are doing. Worst branch I have ever been to.

More difficult than ever! Have to go to Kiosk, get a number or give your cell number, then have to wait in another line to have documents checked before you get to wait for someone to call your number. Go back to pulling a number and just waiting for your turn, why have more steps to do the same thing !!

I registered a vehicle in Dec. I told them I had a lein holder.  They didn't put it on title.  Can I get this remedied online? No.  Every time I go there is an hour wait.  I'm sure when I do they will screw it up.
