Food is good, honestly though when compared to other good Mexican places, nothing special. Service is usually decent unless you go in anywhere near closing time (and they don't have a hard close time it seems to be whenever they feel like closing) then brace yourself for some of the worst service known to man. They clearly let all service standards go completely out the window when they are trying to go home at whatever time they deem appropriate to do so. I would say ownership should get on top of that, but I'm pretty sure the owner was one of the people who "helped" me.

Rude owners! Tonight I arrived at 8:35 PM and the woman behind the counter said, "We're closed." This was not an employee as she dressed much nicer and drove an expensive car. The owner stood behind her to the side. I said, "But online it says you close at 9 PM." With a smirk she said, "We close when we want. Good bye." All of the employees at this hole-in-the-wall are poor minimum wage earners. They are all courteous and helpful. The owner is a jerk as was the woman behind the counter tonight--not an employee. I grew up in New Mexico and Texas and have eaten at a lot of Mexican restaurants. This is the only one I've ever visited that charges customers if they want more than two tiny containers of salsa. I eat there because it's only five minutes away. Not for the quality of the food and certainly not for the service--if the owner or family member is there. So if you go there be aware . . . they close when they want.

These guys work so hard and the food is fantastic. People downrating for "ambiance" need to step off. It's practically a food truck.
