I dropped off a pair of pants for dry cleaning in Feb. 2018 and when I picked them up they had front and back glue-like stains that were not there when I dropped them off (having worked at a dry cleaners in the past, I know to always check my clothing and pockets in front of the clerks and highlight any stains so they can be treated, or at least so I know the condition of my clothing prior to service). I returned the pants for a "re-do" on 2/21/18 and I told the manager Phyllis I would be back to get them when I returned to town in mid-March. I went to Shaffer today, for the second time re: this issue, and not only were the pants not ready but Shaffer could offer no explanation as to why they were not ready or what the status was for my getting them back. When dealing with Phyllis on the phone in Feb., "there are no guarantees in dry cleaning" was one of her flippant comments. I am presently waiting to hear back from the general manager, Nelson, and/or Phyllis about my pants, which they've now had for a month. No one thought to call me so I did not waste more time driving out of my way to deal with this matter--unprofessional, that goes without saying.

I've used Shaffer for years and never had a problem. They get pant legs creased properly every time. I had a shirt with a weird collar that would not stand up, and they re-pressed it three times, trying different techniques to get it right.

Most of the Shaffer locations are drop off places that ship out to an other main location. Places like these take until the next day at 5 pm. No quick press on location. No 2 or 3 hour services.

Took in one sport jacket and six ties for cleaning: $45.39! What a ripoff!
