Overall, the burger was really good. I had the shake stack, which is essentially their signature cheeseburger with the fried mushroom patty. The combination allowed the burger to be soft and gooey while being crispy at the same time! Be warned: the cheese oozing out the mushroom patty is very hot! The beef itself was your standard smashed patty that was well seasoned. As for the fries, they are crispy and come unsalted. Easy to season them yourself though! I only took a star off because it's a little pricey for a burger joint considering the portion. It's easily twenty bucks with a better, fries, and a drink. Place does sell beer though!

As a vegetarian I actually quite enjoy visiting burger joints and seeing what they have for options for me, because I am big fan of sauce and buns and veggies. To say the least I was very excited for the alleged “shroom burger”. But I was fairly disappointed when I got it. Having paid 8 dollars for it, it was very small. The flavor and overall texture were great. I enjoyed it quite a lot. But the size of it was insulting. For 8 dollars I expect a decent sized sandwich. Also the food came on a soaking wet tray that had probably just been out of the dishwasher (I also asked for it to go, good thing it didn’t take much to finish it).

What can I say, I really like Shake Shack, and have since the first time I went to one in NYC. Thus far, it's been consistent with being great, with almost no qualms along the way. Sure, it can be a little pricey, but it's worth it to me. The bacon on today's burger was a little extra crispy, but not overly burnt.

Very little options for chicken and vegetarian. But nice food. Found a hair in my my crimson red velvet dessert thingy. Told staff about it but no one so much as apologized for it. They gave me a condescending look and threw the desert in the trash. Then gave me a new desert with trace amounts of red velvet cupcake in it. It was mostly just vanilla custard. Not really happy with this sort of service. Not a great first impression.

Good old Shake Shack! Burgers weren't very hot when we went, but it was still good! :) We usually find the portions a bit small if we are famished, so maybe get a side if you can! Favorite burger: Shack Stack and the bacon cheese fries are good :D
