Pleasantly surprised at how good the BBQ pork plate was. I frequent BBQ places throughout the south and normally when you want good BBQ you find a Mom & Pa place that has been in business for decades where all the locals go to eat. There you find the best BBQ. Chain BBQ places are normally average at best, BUT, Shane's Rib Shack is an exception. The BBQ pork was excellent. Cooked to perfection. No sauce needed. The pork & beans were good as well. My wife had the Chicken Tenders lunch plate and she said it was very good and that the fried orka was excellent. Very friendly attentive service and the place was very clean. Surprises like this are nice!
I went there today to get lunch for me & my daughter. People I know raved about the food, so I tried it out. I got the pulled pork plate and my daughter the BBQ ribs basket. We both got peach cobbler for dessert and lemonade to drink. When I tell you the food is beyond delicious, it was scrumptious. The ribs and pulled pork were so tender. Even the sides were good. A lot of times when the meat is good, the sides are slacking, but here, that is not the case. As for as customer service, it wasn't anything special.
The cowboy burger is the BEST burger in town! Don't think so? We can take this conversation outside! Great food, great atmosphere and always consistent.Food: 5/5
Heard good things about it so gave it a try. Got the barbecue chicken plate, and the chicken was so dry I couldn’t eat it. Fries were pretty good, Mac and cheese was too, but the chicken was the main part of the plate and it was not good
Love everything about the place! Staff is really friendly and professional! The food is absolutely amazing in regards the quantity quakity and price! I get stuffed off 1 smothered sammich and they make it really fast considering how amazing it tastes! And somehow they found the perfect bun to use because even though my favorite sammich has coleslaw on it my bun doesnt get soggy and turn to mush on the ride home! And the price is really fair! For everything in the menu at that! The quality and the portions are right on point for the price of everything from rib racks to the loaded fries! And the place just feels inviting and kinda like a mix between a backyard BBQ get together and a fine dining establishment! This is now my favorite place to eat in milledgeville! Good job guys and gals!
The atmosphere is like most typical BBQ places. I had the rib basket. It was almost perfect. The cut of meat was generous and enough to be filling. I enjoyed the Brunswick stew as well. Nice pieces of pulled meat in a savory broth. The coleslaw is a little carroty. The selection of sauces is typical but there is something for everyone’s pallet. Overall the place is pretty good with reasonable prices for the market. I only gave 4 stars because the food I received was a little too charred for my taste, but then again I take my steak extra rare. Everyone has their own preferences and many people enjoy it which is why I would recommend Shane’s for a quick date or for those that love ribs.
Really good fresh food ! The front cashier had the best personality !! Everyone in dinning room was moving to keep things stocked & you needed for nothing ! Great Service !!
Everything was very tasty, their barbecue sauces are really good, NOT just a bunch of the same thing with different colors, no! We order the sampler dish, PERFECT
The meats were good. The large sides were not enough to feed the number of people specified for the meal size. Also, an extra large side was ordered and paid for but left out. Very disappointing.
Shane’s located near Krogers on N Columbia st has your standard variety barbecue with one glaring exception : No Brisket offering. The Brunswick stew was excellent. I thought the bbq sauces were watery in substance and not stand out in flavor. If you are a fan of pulled pork, ribs and wings you will leave satisfied.
