Purchased my house several years ago. Inquired about placing fallen trees and furniture outside for removal. I was told this was NOT ALLOWED for TWO years. So when I called with the same inquiry this month I informed them that I regularly see these items outside in my neighborhood; the lady then said it was in fact allowed………. Not sure why the people working here would provide INACCURATE information for years. If it aggravates you to HELP PEOPLE, you shouldn’t have a job that requires you to HELP people.
My personal information was given out when I transferred my services to a new account. The customer service representatives gave my new address to a public agency without my consent. They also never communicated to me changes or updates made on my account that could have put me at a risk for my services being disconnected. They give out false information. The program supervisor is aware of the mistakes that they make and she refuses to do anything about it. She makes the customers feel like they don’t have a right to address concerns for the mistakes the city of Shelby makes.
Employees we're always pleasant. I don't appreciate the electric company as a whole. My bill went from $170* to $350+!!! EACH MONTH no matter how little I used it during the winter months. I called and they blamed it on the cold weather' saying they used alot of energy. Ridiculous for the folks who are conserving and actually living on a budget. Don't push the costs off on people with small children who have no choice to pay YOUR bills.
They are always so kind and helpful and they do try to work with you as much as possible
I went to pay my utility bill. People are always nice.
Met the new employee who was very pleasant and also seen the new changes which is the kiosk that saves time on standing in line. It's located in the back it takes credit card while the inside takes cash, money orders only.
I recieved no bill, no phone call, nothing. They cut me off and wouldn't waive my disconnect fee. Shelby needs to get together and mmhold these people to a higher standard. After all, we pay their salaries.
Well guess they do what they have to since the pandemic but the electric has really skyrocketing and we haven't been home.
Nice town. Stop by sometime.
If I could leave 0 stars, I would. Poorest customer service I have EVER seen in my life.
