Shelter Hope Pet Shop is a non-profit volunteer-based pet shop that showcases shelter animals available for in-store adoption.

Story

Shelter Hope Pet Shop provides a fun, friendly place where visitors and volunteers can meet and interact with animals needing adoption. You can also visit Shelter Hope Pet Shop for pet merchandise and know your dollars are going directly back to help save the lives of homeless pets.

Our Mission:
Shelter Hope Pet Shop is a 501c non-profit, charitable, volunteer-based organization devoted to: aiding in and facilitating shelter and rescue pet adoptions; promoting education and awareness within the communities we serve; and making a positive impact in the lives of shelter and rescue animals and their adopters, as well as local shelters.
Shelter Hope Pet Shop is the premier source for adoptable dogs within the community. We help save the lives of hundreds of dogs each year. By doing so, we will also have a positive impact with helping to decrease the number of potential unhealthy puppy mill puppies purchased from for-profit and inhumane businesses.

Shelter Hope Pet Shop is part of the Shelter Hope Project, which strives to make this the business model for all pet shops nationwide. We hope to abolish all puppy mill pet shops, help find homes for the countless pets in our shelters that face euthanasia, and educate the public on how we can all help reduce future shelter population.

I got two dogs there and I love them so much!! Just because you have to wait to get them makes sure your committed, not just getting it and abandoning it like some people do. If you are looking to get a dog GO HERE!! 💝

I just wanted to defend the adoption fees that people are considering to be too high. Do you know that the average price for a spaying  at a reputable clinic is around 500.00. I know this because I checked around when I needed to have my other dog spayed. Shots and deworming even at a pet store special event still adds up. You are also given certificates for training and boarding your pet. Pet stores do not offer these services. You also have no idea what type of personality or needs a puppy has when they are bought from a pet store. These doggies are like their babies. Would you just let anyone adopt one of your human children? The fact that they are responsible enough to carefully screen each applicant shows how much they truly care about these animals. No one is getting paid to work there. It is a labor of love. Not everyone has the gift of being able to run a shelter. It's a huge commitment. Think about it. Could you do it? By the way, I adopted a puppy last week from there and couldn't be happier. I had no special treatment. I was interviewed and I had to sign releases and other protocols, Big Deal! They're put in place to protect everyone. It's not personal. If you really want a pet that is a good fit for your family, than I highly recommend going to Shelter Hope Pet Shop.

I love my new baby. Raquel is an awesome employee. Owner Kim I'm disappointed. I adopted one of five kittens. One boy left and I decided at last minute I wanted to take other one home with me so the two boys could be together. And after waiting 45 minutes Kim says no. She promised someone else the kitten. 

Just saying if it was me. I would let siblings be together over separate families ANY DAY!

I have been a Volunteer at Shelter hope for 2 1/2 years now, this place is a wonderful place to volunteer, it's clean and welcoming to all that enter the front door. If your thinking about adopting a dog please check out this place, all dogs have their shots, are Spayed or Neutered and have been micro chipped. The staff is wonderful at placing the right dog with the right family. All the volunteers are very caring and it's wonderful that they have the youth being involved. They have the best foster parents for the dogs and they are very helpful in letting people know about the dogs they are considering adopting.

Very unorganized and liars, they lied to us on the phone about a dog we wanted to adopt and when we got there they said the dog had just been adopted and asked if we wanted to see other dogs they had. We drove 2 hrs just to be disappointed and tricked.
